Tuesday, Jan. 21
7:32 a.m., Grand Marais: A puppy was found behind
Grand Marais Motors.
7:57 a.m., Grand Marais: Structure fire on Fifth Avenue
West.
1:16 p.m., Grand Marais: A lost Kindle was reported.
2:11 p.m., Grand Marais: A truck was backed into at the
school parking lot, causing at least $2,000 damage.
2:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of ski equipment reported
from a Cascade Beach Road cabin.
5:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of a pair of pants reported
at the high school. The pants contained keys, a phone and
a few accessories.
6:23 p.m., Grand Portage: Trespassing reported.
9:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a neighbor’s dog has
been out for nine hours, and no one is home.
Wednesday, Jan. 22
1:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a logging truck
driving too fast on Ball Club Road.
1:49 p.m., Hovland: False burglar alarm on Chicago Bay
Road.
4:39 p.m., Croftville: Injured deer on the lower side of the
highway.
7:10 p.m., Lutsen: Vehicle in the ditch near Lutsen Resort.
7:42 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on Bloomquist
Mountain Road.
Thursday, Jan. 23
11:22 a.m., Hovland: Deputy called to remove an
intoxicated person from a house.
2:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller asked to speak with a
deputy in town.
3:08 p.m., Tofte: False alarm at Surfside Resort.
4:38 p.m., Tofte: Injured deer in the middle of the highway
at Surfside Resort.
7:07 p.m., Grand Marais: A person reported that his
vehicle was stolen four years ago.
7:18 p.m., Grand Marais: A child was locked inside a
vehicle, but was dressed really warm and was okay.
Friday, Jan. 24
11:11 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation given.
11:32 a.m., Grand Marais: A room door was open at the
old Tomteboda Motel.
3:53 p.m., Grand Marais: False fire alarm on Caspers Hill
Road.
6:58 p.m., Lutsen: An iPhone and other items were
reported stolen from Eagle Ridge.
8:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Snowmobile complaint.
11:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said young women and
boys have been running around for the last four hours on
the third floor at East Bay Suites, and management was
not responding.
Saturday, Jan. 25
1:37 a.m., Grand Portage: A broken-down snowmobile
was left on the side of Bay Estates Drive until morning.
9:40 a.m., Grand Marais: A husky-type dog was running
on County Road 7.
1:09 p.m., Tofte: False smoke alarm at Bluefin.
1:39 p.m., Lake County: Snowmobile accident off the LTV
railroad tracks and north of Silver Caribou Road.
2:10 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a
28-year-old man with a groin injury.
7:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost track phone reported.
10:11 p.m., Lutsen: Vehicle in the ditch off Lodge Lane.
10:31 p.m., Schroeder: Caller said his U-Haul door
opened and he lost a few items along the highway such as
his daughter’s clothes and some type of radiator heater.
11:52 p.m., Lutsen: Domestic argument at Lutsen Resort.
Sunday, Jan. 26
1:19 a.m., Lutsen: Caller said there is a drunk walking on
the side of the road near Caribou Highlands.
2:32 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested at the hospital
to give an intoxicated man a ride home. He was wearing
only a sweatshirt.
4:20 p.m., Grand Marais: False alarm at Sivertson Gallery.
5:56 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch at mile
marker 96.
8:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of an iPad reported.
