Monday, Dec. 16
12:49 a.m., Grand Marais: Injured fawn on the upper
side of the highway, just east of Fall River.
7:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck on the highway
near Five Mile Rock.
8:50 a.m., Lutsen: Injured eagle on the highway near
mile marker 90.
10:41 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of indecent behavior.
5:18 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch near Hall
Road.
11:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he just got ran
into by a deer, and is out looking for it.
Tuesday, Dec. 17
8:33 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assistance requested
for traffic control while a vehicle was pulled from a
ditch at Maple Hill Drive.
9:52 a.m., Hovland: Caller said there is a guy who’s
pitched a canvas tent in the middle of Arrowhead
Trail/Irish Creek, and it appears he’s inside.
10:35 a.m., Grand Marais: Assault reported at the high
school.
2:46 p.m., Hovland: Vehicle in the ditch at mile marker
129.
7:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller was having a problem
with his heater.
Wednesday, Dec. 18
11:18 a.m., Grand Marais: Minor fender-bender on
South Shore Drive. No injuries reported.
5:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost Australian cattle dog.
7:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Two-vehicle accident at the
hospital. No injuries.
Thursday, Dec. 19
12:50 a.m., Tofte: Burglar alarm at Bluefin Bay.
2:32 a.m., Grand Marais: Dead deer removed from the
highway at mile marker 96.
9:49 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported an injured
deer in his yard.
3:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested at the
school after some underage kids were smoking in the
boys’ locker room. They took off when the bell rang.
4:34 p.m., Grand Marais: A pickup truck and trailer
with a Bobcat were in the ditch on County Road 6.
5:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said kids were out
throwing snowballs at cars near the library. They hit
the car in front of the caller, and then they hit his car.
5:53 p.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle stalled near the
Free Church.
Friday, Dec. 20
10:43 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller said she was going to
be picking up some of her stuff from a residence and
wanted a deputy to know in case there’s trouble.
12:54 p.m., Lutsen: Threats made.
5:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Hot-rodding reported near
mile marker 106.
9:38 p.m., Grand Marais: Child custody dispute.
Saturday, Dec. 21
9:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller did not receive a
package that UPS said was delivered Thursday at 3 p.m.
3:25 p.m., Grand Marais: A 53-year-old man who was
doing lifeguard training at the pool was lying down,
breathing heavy.
3:43 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a
23-year-old man with a neck injury.
5:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said the red light is on
across from Gateway Lodge.
5:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch,
unoccupied, near South Gunflint Lake.
6:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Burglar alarm at a downtown
business.
Sunday, Dec. 22
9:21 a.m., Lutsen: Two-vehicle accident on Ski Hill
Road. One vehicle was almost on its side.
12:22 p.m., Lutsen: Caller said Canadian guests who
stayed at his rental property did about $1,000 worth of
damage.
1:34 p.m., Tofte: CO detector going off at Chateau
Leveaux. Fire department requested to check it.
8:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller crashed into the side
of the road off Highway 61 and Cascade Beach Road.
There were no injuries. The caller said there was
another vehicle in the ditch there as well.
9:06 p.m., Grand Portage: Report of a possible party
going on.
