Monday, Nov. 25
6:36 a.m., Grand Marais: Possible power outage reported.
7:52 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle on
County Road 14.
8:20 a.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Surfside.
10:17 a.m., Grand Marais: WTIP lost the connection to its
towers.
10:43 a.m., Grand Marais: Break-in at the high school on
Friday, believed to be a former student who broke into a
classroom.
12:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of donkeys on the side of
the highway near Fall River Road.
12:10 p.m., Grand Marais: A set of keys was found near the
credit union.
1:41 p.m., Croftville: Caller said he saw a rowboat in the
lake near Anderson’s Resort, and there were two people in it
standing up.
3:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a Lab walking down the
side of the highway.
4:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a burning brush pile on
Devil Track Road.
Tuesday, Nov. 26
1:29 p.m., Schroeder: A training exercise (breach of
security) was conducted at the ore loading facility.
Wednesday, Nov. 27
8:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported fraud. He received
a check that appeared very convincing, and a letter that said
he was a sweepstakes winner.
10:31 a.m., Croftville: Some type of beeping or warning
sound could be heard on Croftville Road.
5:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Confrontation reported.
5:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said somebody is at his
residence now, possibly taking or destroying things.
8:59 p.m., Schroeder: Car in the ditch between mile markers
72 and 73.
Thursday, Nov. 28
12:40 a.m., Tofte: Car in the ditch near Birch Grove School.
3:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller complained that his satellite
TV line was cut by the broadband cable people.
Friday, Nov. 29
8:13 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle went into the ditch on
County Road 6. It has been pulled out, but a reflector was
knocked down.
8:38 a.m., Grand Marais: Lost checkbook reported.
11:28 a.m., Tofte: Caller’s two dogs went missing.
2:42 p.m., Lutsen: Car went off the highway and into the
park near Isak Hansen’s. Unknown injuries.
3:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Car in the ditch near Brule River
on the Gunflint Trail. One man was injured but refused
treatment.
4:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy out at the holiday parade.
8:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested to remove an
extremely intoxicated person from a residence.
11:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there were many cars
going up and down his driveway on County Road 7, and
wanted to know what’s going on. It’s not a shared driveway.
Saturday, Nov. 30
1:50 a.m., Tofte: A person drank a mouthful of bleach,
but was able to spit most of it out, but did get some in
his stomach. He wanted to talk to someone in the ER if
possible.
7:12 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is someone
smoking in the neighbor’s chicken coop.
9:17 a.m., Grand Marais: Game warden contacted after a
lynx was caught in a martin trap on Greenwood Lake Road.
9:42 a.m., Grand Marais: Truck accident at Chicago Bay
Marketplace.
2:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about big tire tracks
ripping up Fireweed Lane.
11:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Domestic situation involving
removal of a car and a party going on.
Sunday, Dec. 1
10:10 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch off County
Road 14, no injuries reported.
2:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on Linnell Road.
Caller heard a transformer blow.
4:47 p.m., Grand Portage: Fight on Margarets Road.
