Monday, Nov. 18
12:53 a.m., Grand Portage: The C store submitted a list of
gas drive-offs.
2:10 p.m., Grand Portage: Residential alarm, found to be
false.
6:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic stop, warning given on
Highway 61.
Tuesday, Nov. 19
8:27 a.m., Grand Marais: Possible juvenile runaway
reported.
6:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic stop, warning given on
Broadway.
Wednesday, Nov. 20
12:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Power outages reported on
Round Lake Road and Sea Gull Lake Road.
1:34 a.m., Lutsen: Deer struck by a vehicle on the highway
near mile marker 88.
1:56 p.m., Hovland: Suspicious vehicle seen.
3:17 p.m., Grand Marais: A person who was walking on
11th Avenue West was bitten by a dog.
3:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there were donkeys
on the hill near Fall River and there doesn’t appear to be a
fence. He has never seen them there before.
3:48 p.m., Lutsen: Theft of hunting items (camo tent,
propane tanks and heater) were reported stolen from a
site on federal land.
5:31 p.m., Hovland: Suspicious activity reported on North
Road.
Thursday, Nov. 21
12:28 p.m., Lutsen: Theft reported from Great Gifts.
2:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued near the
water tower.
4:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft investigation.
5:06 p.m., Grand Marais: A propane tank was struck
by a car after the parking brake didn’t engage. The gas
company was notified.
6:31 p.m., Grand Portage: Power outage on Blazes Road.
Friday, Nov. 22
12:54 a.m., Schroeder: Caller requested that someone
come by to check on a CO detector that keeps going off.
9:14 a.m., Tofte: A vehicle parked at Surfside was damaged
sometime overnight. A rock was thrown through the back
window and was found in the trunk.
10:40 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there was a boat and
trailer parked near Spruce Creek for over a month, and he
thinks it’s kind of odd.
6:45 p.m., Schroeder: Vehicle in the ditch near Sugar Loaf.
10:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported on
Cascade Beach Road.
Saturday, Nov. 23
12:54 a.m., Hovland: Suspicious activity on Horseshoe
Bay. There were four or five men standing around on the
side of the highway in hunting clothes, and no vehicles
around.
1:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller wanted some advice on
how to get her furniture back from her ex.
2:40 p.m., Hovland: Possible house fire reported on Lone
Spruce Lane.
11:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint in the alley
behind the Legion.
Sunday, Nov. 24
1:37 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of arguing and yelling,
and two guys fighting at Birchwood Apartments.
2:55 p.m., Grand Marais: Barking dog complaint. The
caller said the dogs also look cold.
