2:43 a.m., Tofte: A CO2 alarm went off, and then again
a couple of minutes later, but they don’t have propane or
natural gas.
11:10 a.m., Grand Marais: A spruce top was down on the
highway near Solbakken, blocking the southbound lane.
12:57 p.m., Grand Marais: A tree was down on the
southbound lane of the highway near Cascade.
1:09 p.m., Grand Marais: A large tree came down and
smashed a parked vehicle on Third Avenue West.
1:46 p.m., Grand Marais: A tree was down on a power line
on Bents Road, causing an outage.
2:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said two males stripped
down to their undies and went into a building at
Birchwood Apartments.
3:29 p.m., Hovland: Reported theft from a vehicle.
Tuesday, Nov. 12
3:01 a.m., Grand Marais: Smoke alarms going off at a
residence on Needham Road.
11:49 a.m., Grand Marais: Blue paint was found on two
vehicles parked in front of a residence on West First
Street.
1:24 p.m., Grand Marais: A warning was given for illegal
parking.
3:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Harassing phone call.
Wednesday, Nov. 13
12:16 a.m., Grand Marais: Someone dropped off a kitten
in a box at a house on Fourth Avenue West.
2:11 a.m., Grand Portage: Deputy was out picking
up something in the middle of the road, possibly a
Halloween decoration.
3:07 p.m., Lutsen: Assault reported.
6:36 p.m., Grand Portage: Report of a little boy curled up
on the steps of a home.
8:40 p.m., Grand Portage: Deputy called to the lodge to
remove a drunk who was cut off and would not leave.
9:56 p.m., Grand Portage: Vehicle in the ditch near
Human Services.
Thursday, Nov. 14
10:37 a.m., Grand Marais: A road kill permit for a deer
was given on County Road 60.
4:08 p.m., Grand Marais: A neighbor’s cow was loose on
Fall River Road, the third day in a row.
Friday, Nov. 15
10:04 a.m., Schroeder: Carbon monoxide alarm was going
off in a cabin.
10:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a loose pit bull in
town.
12:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Barking dog complaint.
9:20 p.m., Grand Portage: Vehicle roll-over at mile marker
149.
Saturday, Nov. 16
2:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that a man was sleeping
on the sidewalk near Dockside. His name is Bobby, and
he headed toward the pool.
5:20 p.m., Grand Portage: Customs reported that a young
kid, 10-12 years old, was on top of Mount Jo and the
Canadians are concerned about him.
Sunday, Nov. 17
10:42 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller on Cutoff Road said
he had a lost small white dog whose name is Bella Bella
Stanton.
12:15 p.m., Grand Portage: Harassment reported.
3:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said it looks like there are
people up in the lighthouse.
7:57 p.m., Grand Marais: Trespassing reported.
