Monday, Oct. 28
3:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a deer struck and killed
by a vehicle the previous evening at mile marker 116.
4:27 p.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle got stuck in a gravel pit
near Paradise Beach.
8:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver stopped and given a
warning.
Tuesday, Oct. 29
8:19 a.m., Grand Marais: A black-and-white collie was
roaming near the Pump House.
1:41 p.m., Hovland: Caller said there were detonation
cords on the southeast corner of the bridge over the Flute
Reed River.
3:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a missing black lab
from Fall River Road.
6:54 p.m., Hovland: Caller said a suspicious vehicle has on
several occasions driven up to the house, turned around,
and then left.
Wednesday, Oct. 30
12:55 a.m., Grand Marais: A kitten was found, and the
caller wanted it to be picked up and put in the pound.
5:56 p.m., Grand Marais: Threatening phone call reported.
Thursday, Oct. 31
7:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a small wire hanging
down across Devil Track Road.
8:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of an elderly man walking
down the highway near Hillhaven.
1:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of heavy dense smoke on
Deeryard Lake. Forest Service notified.
3:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Financial exploitation of a
vulnerable adult.
Friday, Nov. 1
9:16 a.m., Grand Portage: A large deer was struck by a
vehicle in front of the Human Services building, causing
heavy damage to the vehicle.
11:53 a.m., Grand Portage: Trespassing reported.
7:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer in the middle of the
northbound lane just north of mile marker 121.
11:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Barking dog complaint on
Fifth Avenue West.
Saturday, Nov. 2
12:26 a.m., Grand Portage: Possible harassment reported.
10:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Vandalism to a cabin reported.
A large window was broken.
5:11 p.m., Hovland: Possible chimney fire on North Road.
Sunday, Nov. 3
6:01 a.m., Lutsen: Caller was concerned about a guy who
was in a van parked at Lutsen Resort since 1 a.m. The
caller said he banged on the windows, but couldn’t get a
response.
12:21 p.m., Hovland: Report of damage done by ATVers
on Camp 20 Road.
1:58 p.m., Lutsen: Suspicious activity on White Birch Trail.
The caller said some guys had a table set up and music
going, and believes they may be hunting (it’s all private
property).
3:15 p.m., Grand Portage: Complaint about vehicles racing
up and down Townsite Road all day.
3:37 p.m., Lutsen: Multiple gunshots heard on Eagle
Mountain Lane. The caller was wondering what was
going on.
3:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said somebody just pulled
out in front of him on the highway at Angry Trout.
