Monday, Oct. 7
8:30 a.m., Tofte: Fire alarm at Surfside determined to be
false.
10:00 a.m., Grand Marais: Trespassing complaint.
11:06 a.m., Grand Marais: Garbage was dumped in the
burn pile.
2:58 p.m., Grand Marais: ATV problem.
7:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost wallet reported.
Tuesday, Oct. 8
1:48 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there was a party
going on and he was concerned people would be driving
drunk.
3:01 a.m., Lutsen: Caller said he could hear someone
moving large equipment from the area of the new winery.
8:39 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about exhibition
driving on the Point.
11:51 a.m., Grand Portage: Credit card fraud reported.
2:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Loose dog running in the area of
Java Moose.
Wednesday, Oct. 9
10:20 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a burning smell on
Brandon Lane.
5:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint.
8:28 p.m., Grand Portage: Deer struck by a vehicle at mile
marker 146.
Thursday, Oct. 10
1:29 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there was a woman
sitting in front of Holiday.
4:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a roaming dog near
Benny’s Collision.
4:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Cow on the Fall River Road. The
owner was contacted.
5:54 p.m., Tofte: Power outage reported at the general store.
7:04 p.m., Grand Marais: A disabled motorcycle was left
overnight near Super America.
7:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Burnsville Police Department
asked for information regarding a possibly missing hiker.
8:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of medications reported.
Friday, Oct. 11
1:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a lack of signage
in the work area on County Road 7.
6:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that a Mastec truck was
pulled off the highway near Pederson’s Disposal with its
driver’s door standing wide open.
11:21 p.m., Grand Marais: The pedestrian crosswalk lights
were out. City Hall will be notified.
Saturday, Oct. 12
12:34 a.m., Tofte: Loud noise complaint from Bluefin Bay.
5:42 a.m., Grand Marais: Car into the ditch off the Gunflint
Trail. The driver fell asleep.
6:17 a.m., Grand Marais: Car in the ditch and badly
damaged near Gunflint Lodge. It appeared that nobody was
around.
1:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch off Ball Club
Road.
7:32 p.m., Schroeder: Report of a garage on fire was
cancelled. It was just flickering lights.
7:43 p.m., Schroeder: Motorist assist at Temperance River
State Park.
Sunday, Oct. 13
12:30 a.m., Grand Marais: Domestic argument.
5:53 a.m., Schroeder: Report of a distress red light blinking
on and off in Lake Superior, about a mile out.
7:37 a.m., Grand Marais: A black-and-white dog, about 20
pounds, was roaming near the library.
10:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Domestic argument.
4:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about ATVs running
up and down Caspers Hill Road.
6:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Trespassing/domestic problem
reported at Pine Mountain Court.
9:53 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said a drunk was driving
in the ditch, and then his yard, tearing it up on Store Road.
