Monday, Sept. 30
3:34 a.m., Grand Marais: Three gunshots were heard in
the vicinity of the hospital.
2:57 p.m., Grand Marais: A truck hit another truck at the
Rec Park.
5:22 p.m., Lutsen: Firefighters responded to a call for help
on Honeymoon Trail.
8:20 p.m. and 10:17 p.m., Lutsen: False fire alarms at
Caribou Highlands.
Tuesday, Oct. 1
12:37 a.m., Lutsen: False fire alarm at Caribou Highlands.
The manager said they are having problems with their
alarm system.
11:42 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller wanted to speak to a
deputy about people talking to buildings and things that
are not there.
8:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a reckless driver at the
Point.
8:55 p.m., Lutsen: Report that a tree was blocking the
Grade.
9:00 p.m., Tofte: Fire alarm at Bluefin Bay.
10:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy called to check out a
campfire on the beach near mile marker 121.
Wednesday, Oct. 2
9:31 a.m., Grand Marais: A wallet was found on West
Third Street.
10:04 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a guy with
two dogs off their leashes at the Rec Park.
12:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost car keys reported.
5:01 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller wanted her son removed
from her house because he was breaking things.
5:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost keys reported.
7:22 p.m., Grand Marais: A dog dragging a chain took off
from Golf Course Road.
Thursday, Oct. 3
12:45 a.m., Schroeder: Vehicle in the ditch near mile
marker 72.
9:25 a.m., Grand Marais: Assault reported.
10:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Threats reported at the high
school.
1:44 p.m., Lutsen: Dog on the road near Clearview.
3:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of four people fighting.
3:56 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller wanted to speak with
a deputy about things that have been happening at his
house.
7:05 p.m., Lutsen: Report of a cable hanging too low on
the North Bigsby Road.
Friday, Oct. 4
12:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that a van peeled out
near Buck’s and almost struck a woman in the crosswalk,
and then turned up the alley near Hughie’s.
12:52 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller from the C-Store said
somebody was seen bringing drugs in two days ago, and
also that traffic on Townsite Road is nuts.
8:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there was a bear
behind Birchwood Apartments getting at the bird feeders.
Saturday, Oct. 5
8:37 a.m., Grand Portage: Alarm set off at the Community
Center.
12:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said the power just went
off on West First Street, and there were lines down in the
back yard.
6:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Barking dogs complaint on Fifth
Avenue West.
8:54 p.m., Lutsen: Vehicle in the ditch off Ward Lake
Road.
Sunday, Oct. 6
10:28 a.m., Grand Marais: Lost wallet reported.
11:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Call from an elderly couple
stuck at Cascade River Campground, possibly in an RV.
1:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of drugs investigation.
3:41 p.m., Grand Marais: A bicycle was found in the
woods off Cascade Beach Road.
5:53 p.m., Hovland: Barking dog complaint on Camp 20
Road.
7:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of two hikers who may
be lost east of the Cascade River.
