Monday, Sept. 16
3:18 p.m.-3:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Three traffic warnings/
citations given.
9:40 p.m., Tofte: Alarm at Surfside.
10:32 p.m., Grand Marais: A black-and-white terrier,
“Terry,” ran off from a Golf Course Road residence.
Tuesday, Sept. 17
7:30 a.m., Hovland: Barking/howling dog complaint on
Camp 20 Road.
7:52 a.m., Grand Portage: Harassment reported.
9:49 a.m., Grand Marais: Alarm at a Wisconsin Street
business.
Wednesday, Sept. 18
12:15 a.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle with a flat tire was left
near the library until morning.
8:09 a.m., Grand Portage: Harassment reported.
4:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Burglary reported on County
Road 14.
Thursday, Sept. 19
2:42 a.m., Grand Marais: Break-in reported at Windigo.
10:02 a.m., Grand Marais: Motorist assist at mile marker 96.
12:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there was a truck at
Four Corners that had no plates.
1:13 p.m., Grand Marais: Motorist assist at mile marker 117.
1:53 p.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle that was parked on the
side of the highway near mile marker 115 pulled out and
struck another vehicle. No injuries reported.
5:35 p.m., Grand Marais: A purse containing a bunch of
different IDs was found at Gene’s Foods.
6:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity near
Thomsonite Beach.
7:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Hot-rodding activity reported
near Artist Point.
11:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity near the
Outpost Motel. A vehicle was parked facing the lake with its
headlights on for three hours.
Friday, Sept. 20
6:55 a.m., Grand Marais: A mangy black wolf was hanging
around the east side of the football field fence.
12:08 p.m., Grand Marais: E-mail scam reported.
2:23 p.m., Grand Portage: Theft of funds reported.
7:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Two vehicles were stuck on
Paradise Beach. The drivers were looking for a tow.
Saturday, Sept. 21
1:12 a.m., Grand Marais: A person who over-indulged in
alcohol was being belligerent and uncooperative.
10:50 a.m., Grand Marais: Harassment reported. Someone
put signs in the Senior Center parking lot saying “Reserved
for liars and cheaters,” and also called one of the vendor’s
pastors and said the vendor is not a good Christian.
1:34 p.m., Grand Marais: Car in the ditch between Cascade
River campground and Eagle Mountain.
3:25 p.m., Lutsen: A van drove off the highway into the
woods near Clearview. No injuries reported.
Sunday, Sept. 22
11:44 a.m., Grand Marais: State Patrol received a complaint
about a sheriff’s squad car with three prisoners in the back
that was weaving over the lines and hit a construction barrel
just out of Duluth.
8:47 p.m., Grand Portage: The C-Store reported a number
of gas drive-offs.
