Monday, Sept. 9
4:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy called regarding an
altercation that took place Sept. 5 between two men.
4:54 p.m., Grand Marais: Trespassing complaint.
5:19 p.m., Lutsen: Numerous power outages reported on
Caribou Trail, County Road 56 and Rollins Creek Road.
6:07 p.m., Grand Marais: A camper who ran into some rocks
at the Rec Park wanted to speak with an officer.
11:36 p.m., Lutsen: Deputy called to remove an unwanted
person from her property.
Tuesday, Sept. 10
3:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Loud music complaint from
Humphrey Circle.
4:42 a.m., Grand Portage: Trespassing complaint.
8:15 a.m., Grand Marais: Stolen medication reported.
2:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Identity theft reported.
9:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Domestic argument at Birchwood
Apartments.
Wednesday, Sept. 11
7:33 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said someone she doesn’t
know sent her obscene text messages.
8:10 a.m., Grand Marais: Fire alarm was going off somewhere
on Wisconsin Street.
9:29 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic assistance requested at the
post office.
9:31 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a missing horse that got
out and hasn’t come back from a residence on County Road
7.
9:34 a.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint.
12:53 p.m., Grand Marais: A large amount of cash was found
at Super America.
Thursday, Sept. 12
2:27 a.m., Grand Marais: Debris on the roadway near
Traveler’s Rest.
11:22 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller picked up a 2-year-old boy
on the road at West Fifth Street, and wanted to speak with a
deputy.
11:54 a.m., Grand Marais: Crank call – giggling girls in the
background.
12:32 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said someone was peeking
in his windows.
1:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said she just locked her
grandson in the car.
8:36 p.m., Grand Portage: Vehicle alarm going off at Hat
Point Marina. The owners were out at the island.
9:33 p.m., Grand Marais: A drowning was reported on
Northern Light Lake. Ontario Provincial Police notified.
9:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported a hot electrical
smell and couldn’t find where it was coming from.
Friday, Sept. 13
7:12 a.m., Tofte: Caller said a girl who is pregnant and driving
her daughter to school on meth should be checked out.
11:01 a.m., Grand Marais: Two-vehicle accident at Bluewater.
No injuries.
11:08 a.m., Grand Marais: A credit card and driver’s license
were left at the donut shop.
11:11 a.m., Grand Marais: Woman said she was raped in the
BWCA, exact location unknown. The incident occurred in
Itasca County.
5:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of suspicious activity on
Cascade Beach Road. A young woman parked and was going
by the mailboxes.
7:09 p.m., Grand Marais: A camper hit a light pole at the Rec
Park, causing the pole to lean quite a bit.
8:22 p.m., Hovland: Vehicle struck a deer at mile marker 130.
8:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy spoke with a juvenile
concerning consumption and drug paraphernalia at the
football game.
Saturday, Sept. 14
2:11 a.m., Grand Portage: Hit-and-run in the casino parking
lot.
5:04 a.m., Grand Portage: The C-Store reported 13 gas driveoffs. 10:25 a.m., Grand Portage: Harassment reported.
12:48 p.m., Hovland: Property damage on Chicago Bay Road.
12:58 p.m., Grand Portage: Report of a person who crashed a
four-wheeler on Store Road and needed medical assistance.
2:40 p.m., Schroeder: A man shot himself in the leg with a
shotgun at Toohey Lake Campground. Ambulance called.
8:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Loud party complaint on County
Road 7.
Sunday, Sept. 15
7:19 a.m., Grand Marais: A key ring was found at the skate
park.
1:34 p.m., Grand Marais: Man arrested on outstanding
warrants from Itasca and Washington counties.
3:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted a motorist near the
water tower.
4:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Keys were left at a downtown
business.
