Monday, Sept. 2
9:51 a.m., Grand Marais: A fawn was hit by a vehicle near
the Law Enforcement Center, damaging the front end.
9:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a vehicle driving
erratically.
10:30 a.m., Lutsen: Citation issued for speeding.
1:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Citation issued for unsafe
passing and speeding.
4:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is a helicopter
near County Road 7 that looks like it is having problems
flying.
9:24 p.m., Schroeder: Property damage to the sauna
building at Temperance Landing.
Tuesday, Sept. 3
9:36 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said someone was piling
dirt on the School House Road to block the school bus
from traveling on it.
11:22 a.m., Grand Portage: Illinois driver with a cancelled
license was stopped by U.S. Customs. A citation was
issued.
1:38 p.m., Grand Marais: A female was left on the side of
Highway 61 by her boyfriend.
7:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he saw a driver speed
through a stop sign at Fifth Avenue-Fifth Street.
Wednesday, Sept. 4
1:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported a stolen
Mongoose bike that was left overnight at the library,
valued at $130.
4:07 p.m., Grand Portage: U.S. Customs stopped a person
at the border with 3 grams of marijuana and 6 grams of
hash, as well as LSD and Ecstasy.
Thursday, Sept. 5
1:45 a.m., Grand Marais: Domestic argument.
10:44 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he just about hit a
kid on a four-wheeler on County Road 7.
12:31 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic altercation reported.
Friday, Sept. 6
12:20 a.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious person at the Rec
Park.
3:19 p.m., Grand Marais: A key ring was found near the
Coast Guard station.
4:02 p.m., Grand Marais: Harassing text messages
reported.
10:36 p.m., Lutsen: Caller said her husband was pushing
her around.
Saturday, Sept. 7
1:38 a.m., Grand Marais: DWI arrest.
1:43 a.m., Grand Portage: Report of an underage drinking
party on the beach off Bay Road.
10:45 a.m., Grand Marais: Theft of mail and a mailbox
reported.
2:27 p.m., Grand Portage: U.S. Customs stopped a
Canadian vehicle containing various drugs.
10:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a party going on at
Leo Lake Landing.
11:11 p.m., Lutsen: Domestic problem involving kids.
11:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Loud music complaint from
the Rec Park.
Sunday, Sept. 8
1:15 a.m., Grand Marais: DWI arrest.
2:08 a.m., Hovland: False fire alarm at Naniboujou.
2:33 a.m., Grand Marais: DWI arrest.
9:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic assist with the bike race.
1:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint.
4:32 p.m., Grand Marais: A fanny pack and wallet were
found at Beth’s Fudge.
10:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy called to the hospital to
speak with a female involved in a domestic.
11:14 p.m., Grand Portage: Probation violation.
