Monday, June 24
10:11 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a man at
Birchwood Apartments is yelling obscenities and nasty
things out the window at kids outside.
1:29 p.m., Hovland: A tree fell on a power line on North
Road, creating a fire in the tree.
4:51 p.m., Grand Marais: A 45-year-old man fell off a
four-foot embankment at the end of Magnetic Rock
Trail.
6:35 p.m., Grand Portage: Two gas drive-offs reported at
the C-Store.
8:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Tree on the power line and on
fire on County Road 14.
11:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a guy running
around the campground playing harmonica and hiding
behind trees.
11:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a loud group
at the Rec Park.

Tuesday, June 25
7:28 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a car on the
highway near Howl ‘N Wolf.
12:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputies were requested to
investigate a possible oil slick coming from a dock on
Pike Lake.
1:51 p.m., Tofte: Caller said a group of six or seven
kids was swimming unsupervised in a pool on the
Temperance River.
2:37 p.m., Grand Portage: A male U.S. citizen requested
an ambulance at Canada Customs office.
3:19 p.m., Tofte: Chateau Leveaux reported the theft of
eight pictures from the walls, valued at $150 each.
4:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft of a shotgun
from the back seat of a vehicle that was parked at Steve’s
Sports.
6:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Two passports were found
outside the info center. Attempts to reach the owners
were unsuccessful.
7:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Barking dog complaint.
9:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there were kids
outside Birchwood Apartments after twilight, which is
against the lease.
9:44 p.m., Grand Portage: Complaint about loud
fireworks.
10:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Loud music complaint from
Birchwood Apartments.

Wednesday, June 26
12:11 a.m., Lutsen: Possible trespassing complaint.
2:12 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller asked for assistance
with a window that her dog knocked out, and she can’t
get a hold of anybody else.
2:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Tenant complaint at Birchwood
Apartments.
2:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Harassment reported.
3:34 p.m., Grand Marais: Truck on fire on the Gunflint
Trail.
11:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported
on Artist Point.

Thursday, June 27
4:52 a.m., Hovland: Report of an injured deer on the
shoulder of the highway near the town hall.
5:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Phone scams reported.
7:08 p.m., Schroeder: Lost spaniel found at Lamb’s resort.

Friday, June 28
2:04 a.m., Grand Marais: Loud music complaint from
Birchwood Apartments.
4:43 p.m., Lutsen: Two glass doors were broken at
Caribou Highlands.
4:52 p.m., Grand Portage: Report of a suspicious vehicle
driving around Grand Portage.
10:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Loud vehicle complaint on
Meridian Road.
11:57 p.m., Hovland: Dead deer on the highway near
mile marker 126.

Saturday, June 29
12:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Kid trouble reported on Artist
Point.
9:15 a.m., Grand Portage: A fuse on a pole on Upper
Road blew. There was a dead crow lying on the ground
near the pole.
11:36 a.m., Grand Marais: Possible stalking/suspicious
activity reported near the courthouse.
12:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a black Mustang
hot-rodding downtown.
1:21 p.m., Schroeder: Complaint about trucks that are
hauling rocks for the bike trail. Caller said there are
rocks flying out the back of the trucks.
2:38 p.m., Grand Portage: Report of a suspicious vehicle
driving around the area.
9:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Domestic altercation.
11:10 p.m., Grand Marais: A yellow lab took off from the
Blue Moose.

Sunday, June 30
12:06 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller said a very drunk
person just left her place, and there was a “verbal drama
altercation.”
9:50 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of an injured goose on
the harbor.
12:26 p.m., Schroeder: A young person jumped in the
river at Temperance River State Park, and his father
jumped in to save him and is hanging on the rocks.
5:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost wallet at Gunflint Hills
Golf Course.
9:38 p.m., Grand Marais: A dead rabbit was removed
from the road.
10:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Hot-rodding on the highway
near the radio station.
