Saturday, June 8
6:24 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck and killed at Five Mile
Rock.
12:32 p.m., Tofte: Fire at Bluefin.
9:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Officer requested to remove an
unwanted person from a residence at Pine Mountain Court.
9:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a vehicle blew through
the stop sign at County Road 6/7, and is now parked at Super
America. The driver appears to be intoxicated and is laid out
on the front seat.

Sunday, June 9
12:07 a.m., Grand Marais: A brown horse was running on
County Road 7.
7:44 a.m., Grand Marais: A deer was hit and injured near
Thomsonite Beach Motel and was wandering around on the
roadway. The driver was unable to get it off the road.
9:41 a.m., Lutsen: Report of a stolen wallet from a room at
Lutsen Resort.
12:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported that her dog was hit
by a vehicle in the A&E Marine parking lot.
1:29 p.m., Tofte: Complaint about an extremely loud tractor
working on dirt behind the Sawbill Trail recycling center for
the last couple hours. The caller said it was ruining her day, and
they were getting ready to have a birthday party.
1:39 p.m., Hovland: Report of possibly illegal camping on
Brumbaugh Road.
4:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Gas drive-off of $30 from Holiday.
9:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Another complaint about very loud
children playing outside at Birchwood Apartments. Someone
was also driving around on a little moped.
9:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible drug use reported.
10:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Missing overdue campers (Boy
Scouts) in the Lutsen area.

Monday, June 10
11:24 a.m., Grand Marais: Burglar alarm on South Broadway.
11:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint. The FedEx truck
was blocking the handicap parking zone.
11:52 a.m., Grand Marais: False fire alarm on Wisconsin Street.
2:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Domestic argument.
11:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Medical alarm set off.

Tuesday, June 11
3:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity at the
campground. Someone was outside of the caller’s trailer,
bumping against it.
7:59 a.m., Hovland: ATV on fire on the Arrowhead Trail.
8:31 a.m., Grand Marais: A large brown lab was running on the
highway near the dental office.
3:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Man arrested on a St. Louis County
warrant. He paid $100, was given a court date and released.
4:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Loose dog complaint on Broadway.
7:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Loud noise complaint about three
motorcycles driving very fast up and down Broadway.
11:13 p.m., Tofte: Report of a very large black bear on the
caller’s porch. She was advised to move her bird feeders and
garbage, and the bear would probably move on.

Wednesday, June 12
10:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Burglar alarm on South Broadway.
1:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller requested a welfare check on
a family of five who were walking east on the highway near
Superior Lumber.
2:18 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost hearing aid reported.
3:59 p.m., Schroeder: Grass fire in the lake side ditch off the
highway.
5:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Two houses on fire on Fireweed Lane.
6:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Illegal dumping. A car with Ontario
plates threw garbage in the Dumpster at Subway.
7:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on Cascade Beach
Road.
8:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that a vehicle was transporting
drugs and headed toward Grand Portage.

Thursday, June 13
5:02 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller was awakened by screaming
and crashing.
12:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Motorcycle accident reported at
mile marker 98.
4:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about reckless dump
trucks on Devil Track Road.
4:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported an observation of
what appeared to be drug sales in the Rec Park.
8:15 p.m., Grand Marais: A camera and equipment was found
at the ball field at the Rec Park.

Friday, June 14
4:22 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a semi with its
engine running for a couple hours across from Mangy Moose.
12:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that someone possibly
slashed a tire on a vehicle at the Recycle Center.
3:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Funeral escort requested from
Bethlehem Lutheran Church to Poplar Grove Cemetery.
6:29 p.m., Schroeder: Attempted telephone fraud reported.
11:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about kids at the
Community Center skate park lighting off fireworks.

Saturday, June 15
7:33 a.m., Grand Marais: Fire alarm on Nicole Kristine Lane.
7:55 a.m., Hovland: Caller said he hit a deer last night at mile
marker 128 and wanted to make a report.
8:17 a.m., Grand Marais: A bicycle was found in the eastbound
ditch off the highway.
8:43 a.m., Grand Marais: Community Center reported candle
wax burns and damage to equipment at the skate park from last
night’s vigil.
1:44 p.m., Schroeder: Deer struck and killed near the county
line.
7:02 p.m., Grand Marais: Call from a couple who said they
were lost somewhere near Cascade River.
8:08 p.m., Grand Marais: The Forest Service requested a deputy
to drive through the Flour Lake campground while on patrol.
There were bears in the area, and someone may have fired off a
gunshot last night to scare them off.
8:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a speeding bus going past
Trail Center at over 50 mph.

Sunday, June 16
6:10 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a three-legged dog running
down the sidewalk near Java Moose with a chicken in its
mouth, heading east.
11:29 a.m., Grand Marais: One-vehicle rollover on the highway.
No injuries reported.
1:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint about vehicles too
close to the stop sign on Cardinal Road.
2:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about an older Chevy hotrodding around town.
2:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Loose dog at Artist Point.
9:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Dead deer in the southbound lane,
creating a traffic hazard.
10:23 p.m., Grand Portage: Medical assistance requested for a
gray and blotchy guy sleeping on the floor on his back. He has
been drinking for a couple days, the caller said.
11:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about kids on Artist
Point strobing flashlights at people driving through.
