9:08 a.m., Grand Portage: A counterfeit $20 bill was
received at the casino.
9:27 a.m., Grand Marais: Neighbor issue on Kelly
Ridge.
10:14 a.m., Grand Marais: A person brought a broken
pellet gun in to the Law Enforcement Center for proper
disposal.
10:41 a.m., Schroeder: Grass fire at Temperance River
State Park.
11:00 a.m., Hovland: Report of someone burning
without a permit.
11:10 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said her grass fire is
getting out of control.
6:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Fraud investigation.
9:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Reckless driving reported on
Artist Point.
Wednesday, May 29
2:29 a.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported at
Bluewater.
12:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of people throwing
trash out the window of a car on Artist Point.
12:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of a cell phone
reported.
4:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Criminal sexual conduct
investigation.
6:31 p.m., Grand Portage: Unwanted person at a
residence.
9:23 p.m., Grand Portage: Report of a possible fire on
Blazes Road.
Thursday, May 30
3:14 p.m., Grand Portage: Gas drive-off reported from
the C-Store.
3:54 p.m., Grand Marais: Citation for exhibition driving
issued at the high school.
5:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Criminal sexual conduct
investigation.
5:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Fiber optic crews hit a water
main at the Rec Park. A shovel also hit an electric line
which sparked and arced on North Broadway.
8:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Extra deputy presence
requested at the school on Friday to keep traffic less
crazy on the last day of classes.
Friday, May 31
1:32 a.m., Grand Marais: Grand Marais man arrested
for DWI.
3:34 p.m., Grand Marais: Assault reported.
3:49 p.m., Tofte: Gas drive-off from Holiday.
5:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Tree across the highway near
Five Mile Rock.
5:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that South Shore Drive
was blocked by fallen trees.
7:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Numerous power outages and
trees blocking roadways reported.
10:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of three guys wearing
dark clothing hanging around the credit union and
looking into the windows.
Saturday, June 1
10:00 a.m., Grand Marais: Domestic situation, possibly
requiring a restraining order.
9:58 p.m., Grand Portage: Assault threatened.
Sunday, June 2
12:02 a.m., Lutsen: Caller said a random drunk guy just
left Lutsen Resort in his truck.
1:52 a.m., Grand Portage: Deputy assistance requested
to remove an unwanted person from a residence.
2:14 a.m., Hovland: Vehicle in the ditch just west of
Reservation River Road, no injuries reported.
11:49 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck and injured at
mile marker 108.
4:44 p.m., Schroeder: Vehicle rollover with injuries at
mile marker 78.
6:00 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic disturbance
reported. A man was trying to break down the front
door, saying he wants his TV remote. The resident
didn’t have it.
