Monday, May 6

12:29 a.m., Grand Portage: Harassment order
violation.
8:13 a.m., Hovland: Open door reported.
8:46 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller found a plastic bag
with marijuana in it in her son’s room. A pipe was
found in there a few days ago.
5:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Harassment on Facebook
reported. An explicit ad was also placed on Craig’s
List.
7:07 p.m., Grand Marais: A deputy transported a
person to an AA meeting.
9:25 p.m., Tofte: A deer was struck by a rental vehicle
at mile marker 86.
10:13 p.m., Grand Marais: A Thunder Bay man was
cited for speeding (92/55) and careless driving.
Tuesday, May 7

8:20 a.m., Grand Marais: A residential fire alarm was
going off, and the owner didn’t know how to turn it
off.
8:36 a.m., Grand Marais: Report that a ¾-ton pick-up
has been parked along the highway in front of North
House for a couple months now.
11:03 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said his cocker
spaniel took off near the courthouse, and he’ll be
looking for him.
12:42 p.m., Grand Marais: Probation violation arrest.
7:43 p.m., Grand Marais: Probation violation arrest.
Wednesday, May 8

3:31 a.m., Grand Portage: Assault reported.
2:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Ambulance called to Gene’s
Foods after a 3-year-old boy fell out of a shopping cart
and hit his head.
2:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Gas drive-off of $34.15 from
Holiday.
3:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Illegal dumping at Bally
Creek Cabins.
3:43 p.m., Grand Portage: Customs stopped wrongturn Canadians with six vials (500 ml) of steroids.
Thursday, May 9

6:15 a.m., Lutsen: Dead deer in the westbound lane at
mile marker 92.
10:23 a.m., Tofte: Gas drive-off of $36.56 from
Holiday.
2:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Attempted break-in
reported.
3:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious vehicle reported
on the Kekekabic Trail.
6:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller had a couple stray
dogs at his house on County Road 7.
6:59 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said she just saw a
woman who was listed on Facebook as “Duluth’s Most
Wanted Person of the Week.”
9:12 p.m., Grand Portage: Grand Portage woman
arrested on St. Louis County warrants.
Friday, May 10

8:11 a.m., Grand Marais: Credit card fraud reported.
3:08 p.m., Grand Marais: A white medium-sized dog
was running around near Blue Moose.
Saturday, May 11

12:08 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there was part
of a deer in the middle of the westbound lane near
mile 106.
10:57 a.m., Grand Portage: Gas drive-offs of $30.42
and $20 from the C-Store.
2:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is a big
metal piece of roofing loose on The Market, and it
could fall on someone.
Sunday, May 12

11:28 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller called the Law
Enforcement Center to see if his missing bicycle was
there.
7:08 p.m., Hovland: A very large doe was struck and
killed by a vehicle.
9:01 p.m., Grand Marais: A black lab wearing a red
collar, “Buckwheat,” took off from a residence on Fall
River Road.
