Monday, April 22
2:30 a.m., Grand Marais: Grand Marais man arrested for
DWI.
7:36 a.m., Grand Marais: Officer assistance requested
for traffic control at the entrance to Magney State Park
while a vehicle was towed from the ditch in a hazardous
location.
8:02 a.m., Grand Marais: A truck was stuck in the middle
of the Bogus Lake Road near the tower.
12:09 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm caused by a busted
sprinkler head.
1:37 p.m., Grand Portage: Vandalism to property owned
by Arrowhead Electric reported.
6:39 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller reported that a woman
with warrants in Rock County and who does meth is on
the reservation.
Tuesday, April 23
2:13 a.m., Lutsen: Loud party at Arrowhead Electric. It
looked like there were people on the roof.
6:18 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller said a third-grader who
was not in school was walking on Upper Road.
6:50 a.m., Grand Marais: Injured deer on the upper side
of the highway.
2:06 p.m., Schroeder: Threatening e-mails reported.
2:48 p.m., Grand Marais: A Canadian driver hit a deer at
mile marker 123, near Magney State Park. The deer was
not dead, but had broken legs.
4:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck and injured near
Cliff Creek, causing fender and headlight damage.
9:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck near mile marker
117, unknown where it went or how badly it was injured.
Wednesday, April 24
6:57 a.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint.
1:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Trespassing complaint on
County Road 56.
3:57 p.m., Schroeder: Deer struck and killed at mile
marker 72.
4:58 p.m., Grand Marais: Probation violation reported.
10:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy checked on a vehicle
parked in the St. John’s Church parking lot.
Thursday, April 25
1:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Ambulance called to a
residence after a 3-year-old ate Advil.
2:05 p.m., Grand Portage: False motion detector
activation at Grand Portage National Monument (Great
Hall, east attic).
5:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that a deer jumped
over the rock wall on the north side of Highway 61 near
Traveler’s Rest. It was about 30 feet down and struggling,
but still alive.
5:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted the driver of a
broken-down tour bus.
Friday, April 26
11:30 a.m., Grand Marais: Lost keys reported.
1:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller requested the fire
department check his apartment for an odor that
happens only at night.
5:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost fleece gloves reported.
6:48 p.m., Tofte: Drunk driver reported, leaving Holiday
and heading west.
7:11 p.m., Grand Marais: False fire alarm at the Border
Patrol building.
7:57 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a vehicle heading
north from Artist Point, with possible drinking going on
inside.
Saturday, April 27
3:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about snow that was
plowed onto the middle of the roadway near Ball Club
Road on Devil Track.
4:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft investigation regarding
stuff missing from a residence on North Broadway.
7:55 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a possible drainage
problem in the area of Creechville Road and Gunflint
Trail.
Sunday, April 28
10:44 a.m., Schroeder: A game warden was notified of a
dead, but fresh and intact, eagle on the upper side of the
highway near Cramer Road.
1:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said someone jumped on
his truck at Gofer Cabins.
8:13 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic disturbance.
9:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a group of four
people walking west near Grand Marais Pharmacy
carrying a bench.
