Monday, March 11
8:10 a.m., Grand Marais: The
Forest Service reported a lost
dog.
9:05 a.m., Schroeder: A truck
with a long trailer was in the
ditch. State Patrol notified.
10:24 a.m., Grand Portage:
Citation issued for driving
after suspension.
2:07 p.m., Tofte: Deer struck
by a vehicle near Surfside,
and still alive in the ditch.
Tuesday, March 12
2:39 a.m., Grand Portage:
Caller reported a potential
gas leak at a residence, but
the occupant wouldn’t leave
and is possibly intoxicated.
3:33 p.m., Grand Marais: The
Community Center reported
the theft of money from the
till.
6:11 p.m., Grand Marais:
Vehicle roll-over near
Schoolhouse Road-Gunflint
Trail. Unknown injuries.
7:43 p.m., Grand Marais:
Security alarm going off at
the Trading Post.
Wednesday, March 13
10:00 a.m., Grand Portage:
Sexual violence investigation
requested.
4:44 p.m., Grand Portage:
Customs stopped a wrongturn driver with 4 grams of
hash and a small amount of
marijuana.
5:15 p.m., Grand Marais: A
vehicle and the transit bus
were struck by a vehicle in
the Senior Center parking
lot, minimal damage
reported.
8:28 p.m., Grand Marais:
Caller said there was a
vehicle downtown with two
women and a little girl, who
did not have a car seat. There
was also a dog in the car.
Thursday, March 14
2:00 a.m., Grand Marais:
Power outage on Kelly’s Hill.
2:02 p.m., Grand Marais: A
bunch of 2x4s were scattered
along the highway near
County Road 14.
Friday, March 15
10:54 a.m., Grand Marais:
Car struck a deer and was
disabled near Linnell Road.
1:45 p.m., Grand Marais:
A black lab ran away in the
area of West Second Street
and 10th Avenue West.
4:42 p.m., Grand Marais:
Caller said someone called
and told him he won
something, and they will be
coming to his house at 6 p.m.
He was nervous about it.
8:43 p.m., Grand Portage:
The Schwan’s truck was stuck
in a driveway on Store Road,
and the caller asked that the
game warden or someone
come out and pull it.
Saturday, March 16
3:00 a.m., Hovland: A red
pick-up truck was cited for
an obstructed plate.
10:25 a.m., Grand Marais: A
vehicle was in the ditch off
County Road 7.
2:10 p.m., Grand Portage: A
reported gas drive-off from
the C-store was taken care of
when it was discovered that
the driver did come in and
pay, but paid for the wrong
pump.
Sunday, March 17
10:54 a.m., Grand Portage:
A vehicle was seen parked in
the Mount Maud overlook,
but it was unknown if it was
stuck.
5:08 p.m., Grand Marais: A
hiker said he lost a camera
lens near Devil Track, valued
at $700-800.
6:11 p.m., Schroeder: Injured
deer near Cross River.
