Monday, March 4

10:33 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said her
husband, 82, is probably high on his drugs.
He can’t stand up or walk, and doesn’t make
much sense.
2:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Probation
violation arrest.
2:29 p.m., Grand Portage: A wrong-turn
Canadian was stopped by Customs with 8.7
grams of marijuana.
4:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Probation
violation arrest.
Tuesday, March 5

10:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Two-vehicle
collision at Fourth Avenue and Fourth
Street.
11:41 a.m., Grand Marais: A deputy was
notified about a possible confrontation at
the high school.
6:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller wanted a
deputy to check on a vehicle with Ontario
plates that was left parked on private
property since 3:30.
8:17 p.m., Grand Portage: Customs stopped
a wrong-turn Canadian driver with 2.5
grams of marijuana and 14 Ecstasy tablets.
Wednesday, March 6

3:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he
took in his friend’s dog while she was out
of the country for a month. The dog is
mean, has bitten people in the past and also
the owner, and the dog has now bitten the
caller once today and once yesterday, all
without warning. The caller said he believes
the dog is dangerous and should be put
down.
10:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Grand Marais
man arrested for 3rd degree DUI.

Thursday, March 7

8:57 a.m., Schroeder: Deputy requested to
check the Temperance River rest area for
a missing tractor trailer that hadn’t been
heard from since 2 a.m.
2:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Thunder Bay
woman cited for speeding.
5:10 p.m., Grand Marais: A blue car was
stuck in a snow bank near the high school.
8:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said his
furnace is running but not giving off any
heat, and he didn’t know who to call. Como
was contacted.
Friday, March 8

1:31 a.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity
investigated at the Point.
6:59 a.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle rolled
and was upside-down in the ditch off
County Road 7-Pike Lake Road. There were
no injuries reported, and a tow truck was
requested.
10:47 a.m., Hovland: Caller said he ran over
a rusty pipe that probably fell off a semi,
causing significant damage to the vehicle’s
under carriage.

12:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller wanted
his mom removed from the residence
because she was disturbing and threatening
him.
5:58 p.m., Grand Portage: Report of a
Wisconsin vehicle hot-rodding on Upper
Road.
6:54 p.m., Grand Portage: Suspicious phone
call reported.
Saturday, March 9

10:50 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle into the
ditch near Five Mile Rock.
11:15 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of three
horses running on County Road 7, heading
east.
11:42 a.m., Tofte: Vehicle in the ditch near
Onion River.
12:36 p.m., Grand Portage: Thunder Bay
man cited for speeding.
2:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle slid into
the ditch near Thomsonite Beach.
5:26 p.m., Lutsen: Vehicle in the ditch at
mile marker 88.
5:29 p.m., Tofte: Vehicle in the ditch near
Chateau Leveaux.
5:30 p.m., Lutsen: Another vehicle in the
ditch near Onion River.
5:44 p.m., Schroeder: Caller requested a
ride back to the hotel after his snowshoe
broke and the snow was too deep for him to
continue on the Superior Hiking Trail.
8:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Ambulance called
to the Community Center after a person fell
on the ice.
Sunday, March 10

1:41 a.m., Lutsen: Caller said County Road
39 needs to be plowed.
10:21 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm.
