vehicle.

The caller said this may invite vandalism.
6:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Great Expectations School reported
problems with the alarm system.
8:58 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage reported.
Wednesday, Feb. 20
10:01 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a possibly disabled vehicle
on the shoulder of the highway near Five Mile Rock.
2:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Phone scam reported. A man called
saying he was doing a survey regarding Pampers usage at her
daycare.
Thursday, Feb. 21
1:19 p.m., Hovland: Deer struck by a vehicle on the highway.
2:12 p.m., Grand Marais: A 911 call was inadvertently made by
a man who was showing his son which button to push on the
phone.
Friday, Feb. 22
9:50 a.m., Grand Portage: Domestic disturbance. All parties
agreed to separate.
10:37 a.m., Grand Portage: Report of a banned person.
12:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Grand Marais woman arrested for
fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance.
2:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about neighbors.
3:15 p.m., Grand Portage: Property damage to a home reported.
4:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a small school bus passed
him at mile marker 123, and he was doing 55 mph.
5:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about two large
snowmobiles tearing up the ski trails at Golden Eagle.
5:38 p.m., Tofte: Report of a dead deer floating in the harbor
near Bluefin Bay.
9:41 p.m., Lutsen: Car into the ditch at the end of Ski Hill Road.
Saturday, Feb. 23
12:30 and 12:54 a.m., Tofte: Fire alarms at Bluefin were false.
1:46 a.m., Grand Portage: Ambulance called to transport an
intoxicated person who fell and broke an ankle.
9:25 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a slippery road surface at
the bottom of Sixth Avenue West.
10:02 a.m., Grand Marais: A group of guys who may have
damaged ski trails with their snowmobiles was heard bragging
about it. The caller said they were from Rochester, and she
didn’t want to see locals get blamed for causing the destruction.
1:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost credit card reported.
2:14 p.m., Grand Marais: Snowmobile accident victim was
treated at the hospital for wrist and ankle fractures.
5:22 p.m., Tofte: Gas drive-off from Holiday ($25).
7:02 p.m., Grand Marais: Grand Marais woman arrested for
probation violation.
7:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Ambulance called to Bearskin Lodge
for an unresponsive skier.
9:10 p.m., Grand Portage: Parking complaint on Townsite Road.
9:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer hit by a vehicle at mile marker
111.
Sunday, Feb. 24
11:39 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller said his girlfriend stole his
vehicle.
1:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy spoke with people about their
garbage in the street.
1:44 p.m., Tofte: Power outage reported.
2:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Call about an aggressive dog on
School House Road.
6:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of an elderly man walking and
talking but confused, on 11th Avenue West. He didn’t know his
name or where he was, and was saying odd things.
9:34 p.m., Grand Marais: A bag containing a passport and other
papers was found in the Super America parking lot.
