unwanted persons in an apartment.
12:05 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a 30-yearold man with a possible concussion.
12:13 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost debit card reported.
12:54 p.m., Grand Marais: A wallet was left at the liquor store.
8:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said that looking east from Artist
Point, he saw a huge fireball.
8:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that there was a truck with its
flashers on near Cutoff Road.
Tuesday, Jan. 1
12:37 a.m., Grand Marais: Domestic altercation.
12:44 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck on the highway near
Solbakken Motel.
1:57 a.m., Grand Marais: Grand Marais man arrested for DUI,
driving after revocation, possession of marijuana in a motor
vehicle and drug paraphernalia, and booked into jail.
3:43 a.m., Grand Portage: Trespassing complaint.
9:32 a.m., Grand Portage: Assault reported.
12:38 p.m., Grand Portage: Property damage to a vehicle reported.
1:18 p.m., Lutsen: Caribou Highlands requested assistance with a
person not paying for his room.
1:34 p.m., Grand Portage: The Trading Post reported a list of gas
drive-offs, all Ontario plates.
3:31 p.m., Lutsen: Injured wolf reported near County Road 34.
5:59 p.m., Schroeder: Report of a big deer in the southbound lane.
9:43 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a black Lab out and about,
running around on Sixth Avenue West.
Wednesday, Jan. 2
9:47 a.m., Grand Portage: The Trading Post reported the theft of a
$6 bag of ice out of the outside cooler.
2:20 p.m., Grand Marais: A wallet was left at the GunFlint Tavern.
6:18 p.m., Lutsen: The manager at Caribou Highlands requested
assistance following an altercation.
8:05 p.m., Grand Marais: California man cited for careless driving.
11:31 p.m., Grand Portage: Underage party on Stevens Road
reported.
Thursday, Jan. 3
8:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there were two trucks parked
in a hazardous location on Fall River Road.
9:38 a.m., Grand Marais: ID theft reported.
12:28 p.m., Hovland: Citation issued to a Golden Valley man for
speeding.
4:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Dog complaint.
7:24 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm set off by burning food.
8:32 p.m., Grand Marais: A deputy checked on a report of a dog
left in a car near Java Moose. It was unfounded.
Friday, Jan. 4
12:40 a.m., Lutsen: Palatine, Ill., man arrested for DUI.
6:45 a.m., Grand Marais: A male German shepherd was found on
Pike Lake Road.
9:25 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle on the highway
near Solbakken Motel.
11:32 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a man walking in the middle
of the turn lane on the highway near Gateway Lodge.
Saturday, Jan. 5
1:04 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
11:10 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there was a person in a
vehicle taking pictures of the area near Grand Marais Apartments.
Sunday, Jan. 6
12:00 a.m., Grand Marais: A guest at the Mangy Moose said the
keys for his room would not work, and there was nobody in the
office.
6:30 a.m., Grand Marais: A yellow Lab was found on First Avenue
West.
5:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Game warden notified of two deer heads
that were dumped in the ditch off the Gunflint Trail.
7:48 p.m., Grand Portage: Deputy assistance requested at the
casino, where a man was passed out near the front doors. He was
believed to be heavily intoxicated, and had powder residue on his
nose.
