2:13 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller’s friend was being harassed
by an old man who said something about open the door
you’re a slut mom.
12:41 p.m., Grand Marais: A black terrier wearing a purple
collar was seen on Coyote Ridge.
1:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible chimney fire on Fifth
Avenue West.
1:42 p.m., Lutsen: Hit-and-run damage discovered on the
side of a vehicle parked at Eagle Ridge.
3:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Criminal sexual conduct
investigation.
4:47 p.m., Tofte: Domestic altercation reported.
8:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said the Grand Marais
Pharmacy lights and open sign are still on, and something
doesn’t seem right.
8:57 p.m., Grand Portage: Theft of beer (two cases)
reported from a residence.
10:39 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller reported an unsafe
driver, who was allegedly driving while drunk, without
insurance or tabs, with a 7-month-old girl in the vehicle.
Tuesday, Dec. 25
5:17 a.m., Lutsen: A deputy found a box containing booze
and beer, a microwaveable meal and some CDs at one of
the ski hill parking lots.
12:34 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a 4-year-old boy is
missing.
2:54 p.m., Grand Marais: Residential burglar alarm
investigation.
9:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Golden Valley man arrested for
DWI.
Wednesday, Dec. 26
10:23 a.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin Bay.
11:52 a.m., Grand Marais: Trespassing reported.
12:10 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a
person with a dislocated shoulder.
12:23 p.m., Grand Marais: A yellow Lab, “Sancho,” took off
from home again.
1:49 p.m., Hovland: Caller said a small child was locked
inside a truck on Camp 20 Road.
2:32 p.m., Lutsen: Large brush pile on fire off Ski Hill Road.
5:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by the Arrowhead
Transit bus near Five Mile Rock. The driver believed the
deer wandered off into the woods.
7:43 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about snowmobile
drivers going too fast on Clearwater.
8:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Lutsen woman cited for
underage drinking and driving, and speeding. A Grand
Marais juvenile was also cited for underage drinking.
8:20 p.m., Grand Portage: Deputy assistance requested to
remove two unwanted people from a residence.
10:03 p.m., Grand Portage: An intoxicated man passed out
in the lodge lobby, and wouldn’t wake up.
11:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Domestic assault.
Thursday, Dec. 27
10:08 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested at the hospital
to deal with an agitated man.
12:57 p.m., Lutsen: Caller lodged a complaint, stating that
the transport vans at Caribou Highlands are unsafe.
2:18 p.m., Grand Marais: Domestic assault.
3:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Drug use reported.
3:51 p.m., Tofte: Caller was lost on the Sugarbush XC trail.
Friday, Dec. 28
12:03 a.m., Lutsen: CO detectors were activated, and the
resident turned off the gas fireplace and re-set the alarms.
There were no symptoms of poisoning.
9:19 a.m., Grand Portage: Loud muffler complaint.
12:32 p.m., Grand Portage: Deer struck and injured
(broken back) near mile marker 142.
1:23 p.m., Schroeder: Caller said there was four inches of
snow on Highway 61, and it needs to be plowed.
10:53 p.m., Grand Portage: Drug investigation.
Saturday, Dec. 29
2:30 a.m., Schroeder: A vehicle was stuck on the roadway
at the corner of Cramer Road and Fradenburg Drive.
9:06 a.m., Grand Marais: A wallet was found at Stone
Harbor.
9:16 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch near
Solbakken Motel.
12:15 p.m., Hovland: Car rolled over and hit a pole at mile
marker 132.
12:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a little black dog
running up and down Eighth Avenue West, barking.
4:55 p.m., Hovland: One-vehicle roll-over near Magney
Park.
Sunday, Dec. 30
12:04 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch near
Cascade River bridge.
1:17 a.m., Lutsen: Loud party complaint at Mountain Inn.
6:25 a.m., Grand Marais: Two gunshots were heard on Pike
Lake Road at about 1:40 a.m.
8:53 a.m., Tofte: A dog that appeared to have been attacked
and injured was at Americ Inn. No people were injured.
10:35 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck near Cascade State
Park.
11:45 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller said someone has been
tampering with her vehicle.
12:47 p.m., Grand Marais: A person fell and was
unresponsive out near the lighthouse.
5:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck just west of Cascade
Lodge.
7:00 p.m., Lutsen: Assault at Caribou Highlands bar.
