Monday, Dec. 10

8:28 a.m., Schroeder: A large truck
was blocking 600 Road, preventing
the plow from getting through.
10:01 a.m., Lutsen: Caller said her
boyfriend knocked her down and
kicked her in the face.
1:22 p.m., Tofte: Car in the ditch off
the highway.
8:55 p.m., Grand Marais: Report
that the manhole cover at the
bottom of Eighth Avenue West was
off to the side.

Tuesday, Dec. 11

2:03 a.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious
activity reported on Artist Point.
2:54 p.m., Lutsen: Caller wanted
to know who he could contact for
assistance with an ATV that sank in
Clara Lake.
9:21 p.m., Tofte: Deer struck by a
vehicle at mile marker 84.

Wednesday, Dec. 12

3:11 p.m., Lutsen: Caller said it
looks like a couple skis and a blue
pack are sticking out of the ice.
6:39 p.m., Tofte: Assault reported.

Thursday, Dec. 13

1:14 a.m., Grand Marais: A man
was seen coming out of the woods
onto the sidewalk from a vacant
house on First Avenue. The caller
said the woods are in someone’s
yard, and it appears suspicious.
12:59 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller
said a van with two intoxicated
women was driving around the
area.
2:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Report
that a man was sitting in a car
parked in the upper lot at the
courthouse, shaking in the vehicle.
7:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said
that a small white dog that bit him
this fall chased him again today. He
was able to chase it off.
7:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Stolen
passport reported.
8:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Hit-andrun reported to a vehicle parked at
the high school.
11:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller
said there were people drinking and
driving at Tire & Auto Lodge.

Friday, Dec. 14

8:11 a.m., Grand Marais: Burglar
alarm at the liquor store.
11:21 a.m., Grand Marais: A person
was protesting at the courthouse
with a sign that said, “Step Down
Tim.”
12:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Thick
smoke reported in the area of
County Road 6.
7:57 p.m., Grand Marais: Wisconsin
man cited for no valid driver’s
license.

Saturday, Dec. 15

9:30 a.m., Grand Marais: Smoke
near the golf course was a burning
brush pile. They had a permit.
3:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle
in the ditch at County Road 7-Pike
Lake Road.
3:39 p.m., Grand Marais: A second
vehicle in the ditch just east of the
first accident.
3:54 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible
chimney fire reported on Skyport
Lane.
5:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said
his dog has been missing for about
20 minutes.

Sunday, Dec. 16

2:52 p.m., Grand Portage: Threats
reported.
4:47 p.m., Grand Portage: Child
custody issue.
9:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller
reported a criminal sexual conduct
case that happened in the BWCA
on Rose Lake during a church
retreat in 2005.
10:25 p.m., Grand Marais:
Suspicious activity reported at a
cabin on Onagon Lake Road.
