back yard.
11:57 a.m., Grand Marais: A young yellow lab was seen
running on Fifth Avenue West, heading northeast.
12:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver cited on North Broadway
for loud exhaust.
6:02 p.m., Grand Marais: Power was flickering on Sea Gull
Lake Road.
Tuesday, Dec. 4
7:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Driver cited for loud exhaust at the
high school.
9:41 a.m., Grand Marais: DNR advised that a remotecontrolled watercraft will be doing hydrocoustic testing on
Lake Superior east of town, so lights will be visible.
11:13 a.m., Grand Marais: Driver cited for expired tabs and
no proof of insurance.
3:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a red station wagon that
has been sitting at the Cascade State Park wayside since the
previous day.
Wednesday, Dec. 5
11:18 a.m., Grand Marais: A deputy was requested to remove
an unwanted person who was pounding on the door to get in.
11:19 a.m., Tofte: A person involved in an accident at Bluefin
Bay a week ago is now disputing the damage.
4:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Criminal sexual conduct
investigation.
5:57 p.m., Grand Marais: Hit-and-run at NAPA.
10:14 p.m., Schroeder: Deer struck by a vehicle at mile marker

Thursday, Dec. 6
6:50 a.m., Grand Marais: A deputy was requested to walk
through the county attorney’s office before the employees
arrive.
9:13 a.m., Grand Marais: The owner of a Social Security card
that was found downtown was notified.
4:42 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle at mile
marker 111.
5:14 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller expressed concern on behalf
of courthouse employees.
Friday, Dec. 7
9:00 a.m., Grand Marais: Repo on a trailer at Superior RV.
10:42 a.m., Grand Marais: Fire alarm at the school.
Saturday, Dec. 8
8:56 a.m., Lutsen: An injured wolf was walking back and forth
along the highway near County Road 34.
12:39 p.m., Schroeder: Report of smoke on the west side of
the coal pile at the Minnesota Power plant. The control room
said it is probably just steam, but it would be taken care of.
2:27 p.m., Grand Portage: A vehicle was backed into at the C
store.
3:18 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested to remove an
unwanted person from a residence.
3:34 p.m., Grand Portage: Report of a car in the casino
parking lot with two very small children inside.
5:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a white dog
running around on Croftville Road.
9:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Gas drive-off of $30.71 from
Holiday.
Sunday, Dec. 9
12:41 a.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported at
Birch Terrace.
9:18 a.m., Hovland: Tow truck needed to pull a Canadian
vehicle from the ditch.
10:25 a.m., Lutsen: Several accidents reported at the corner
of Ski Hill Road and Highway 61 due to icy roads. MnDOT
notified.
2:26 p.m., Grand Portage: The Highway Department reported
that a person was plowing snow across a state highway near
the casino (Casino Drive), and he can get into a lot of trouble.
4:14 p.m., Grand Marais: Gas drive-off of $31.66 from
Holiday.
4:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said his yellow lab has been
missing for about five minutes.
