Monday, November 5
7:02 a.m., Nissan pickup pulling a camper parked at Artist Point.
7:46 a.m, Caller is in a lot of pain from arthritis and can’t move.
8:28 a.m., Ambulance needed for an 87-year-old unresponsive
patient.
10:55 a.m., Suspicious gray SUV with two people moving
something out of gazebo at Sawtooth Ridges.
11:58 a.m., Obama signs have been bashed down. Signs were
previously spray-painted.
12:16 p.m. Possible deer poaching, TIP phone number requested.
12:26 p.m., Gas drive off.
12:35 p.m., Caller reporting that someone is using the area behind
his shed as an outdoor toilet. House is for sale, but checked
frequently.
5:40 p.m., Request for Violence Prevention Center on call person
contact.
6:04 p.m., Possible overdose on muscle relaxants.
7:35 p.m., Caller reporting that someone on probation may be
leaving state against conditions of probation.
7:55 p.m., Possible order for protection violation.
Tuesday, November 6
4:43 a.m., Alarm in lobby at Grand Portage Community Center.
5:01 a.m., Alarm in dining area at Grand Portage Community
Center.
5:20 a.m., Alarm at Oshki Ogimaag School. Alarm company
notified that there may be problem with the alarm.
8:10 a.m., Traffic stop on Gunflint Trail/East 5th Street.
8:44 a.m., Vehicle in ditch near airport, airbags deployed, no
injuries.
10:21 a.m., Driver left gas station to go get a debit card to pay but
has not returned. Gas bill is $50.01.
11:07 a.m., Vehicle parked in front of neighbor’s house on road.
Hasn’t moved and neighbors don’t know who it belongs to.
11:29 a.m., Reporting phone scam saying grandson is in jail in
Mexico. She just contacted grandson and he is fine. Scam was very
convincing though.
3:13 p.m., Financial exploitation of vulnerable adult.
4:32 p.m., Stop arm violation – white Affinity headed west.
7:13 p.m., Large fire in clearing across from Wesley Lane. No
vehicles in area.
7:39 p.m., Canadian wrong turn. Individual found with six small
bottles of ephedrine and several needles.
8:10 p.m., Traffic stop in Tofte.
8:15 p.m., Traffic stop in Lutsen.
9:18 p.m., Verbal warning for no rear lights.
9:56 p.m., Three people partying, one threatening others.
Wednesday, November 7
8:16 a.m., Prisoner transport.
11:06 a.m., Workers will be burning off a propane tank.
11:14 a.m., Whole Foods Co-op reported suspicious note left on
employee’s car.
11:49 a.m., Traffic stop.
1:11 p.m., Traffic stop.
1:54 p.m., Traffic stop.
3:38 p.m., Notification of family emergency to hunting party on
Camp 20 Road, Hovland.
7:41 p.m., Request for contact with Violence Prevention Center
advocate.
8:35 p.m., Traffic stop, citation issued in Tofte.
8:50 p.m., Traffic stop, citation issued for speed.
10:54 p.m., Lights on at Community Center log building.
Thursday, November 8
12:42 a.m., Transient male transported to hospital and then Duluth
for mental evaluation.
8:13 a.m., Traffic stop in Hovland.
12:02 p.m., CO detectors going off.
12:14 p.m., Traffic stop.
1:38 p.m., Friendly male golden retriever found in yard. Ely vet
tags.
5:32 p.m., Traffic stop.
5:57 p.m., Someone walking around the construction site with a
headlamp on.
8:15 p.m., Someone knocking on windows at radio station.
8:35 p.m., Animal disturbance.
8:41 p.m., Traffic stop in Lutsen.
Friday, November 9
1:15 a.m., Custodial issues.
10:00 a.m., Traffic stop, citation issued.
10:09 a.m., Concern about phone messages.
12:22 p.m., Social services client concerned about supposed Blue
Cross representatives.
12:34 p.m., Found Samsung phone on Bally Creek Road.
12:49 p.m., Gas drive off at Grand Portage Trading Post.
1:12 p.m., Arrest for order for protection violation.
2:34 p.m., Male golden retriever named Brady missing.
4:36 p.m., Caller reporting that boyfriend is threatening someone.
5:36 p.m., Party canceling permission to be on his property.
6:12 p.m., Hit deer. Debris on road by Poplar River.
7:19 p.m., Hit deer by Caribou Trail, Lutsen.
11:04 p.m., Traffic stop on Ski Hill Road, Lutsen.
Saturday, November 10
1:01 a.m., Traffic stop.
5:40 a.m., Party with serious nosebleed for over an hour, being
brought to hospital by private vehicle.
9:05 a.m., Report of very icy conditions at Mount Josephine.
11:37 a.m., Party sending harassing text messages.
11:53 a.m., Report of wallet stolen last night.
12:09 p.m., Property damage to wildlife camera at property near
Christine Lake, Lutsen.
12:11 p.m., Black car stalled in middle of highway two miles west of
Cascade—can’t miss it.
5:04 p.m., 911 hangups, busy on callback.
10:11 p.m. Caller reports that 50-year-old woman fell and hit head.
Sunday, November 11
1:30 a.m. Traffic stop, DUI arrest on County Road 7, Grand Marais.
12:27 p.m., Tree down in southbound lane, blocking traffic.
12:29 p.m., White caddy that looks abandoned sitting on private
property.
12:45 p.m., Power pole right across from Arrowhead Electric
snapped in half.
7:19 p.m., Citation issued for speed.
8:13 p.m., 77-year-old female needs medical transport.
10:43 p.m., Public assist.
