Monday, Oct. 22
7:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said she left a brown purse at
Birch Terrace the night before.
9:10 a.m., Schroeder: Explosion at Minnesota Power coal
bunker.
12:17 p.m., Lutsen: Vehicle in the ditch at the east entrance of
Clearview. No injuries reported.
12:36 p.m., Schroeder: A fire on the roof re-started at Minnesota
Power.
12:57 p.m., Schroeder: A vehicle or something hit the bridge,
damaging it, on the northbound side at mile marker 78.
Tuesday, Oct. 23
12:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Residential burglar alarm.
9:34 a.m., Grand Marais: A female Great Dane was put in the
pound.
11:38 a.m., Grand Portage: Threats investigated.
4:47 p.m., Grand Portage: Customs stopped a driver with an
open bottle.
6:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Threats investigated.
Wednesday, Oct. 24
11:12 a.m., Grand Marais: Rifle shots reported.
Thursday, Oct. 25
10:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Lost female black lab reported.
11:35 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said kids were locked in a
vehicle in the high school parking lot.
11:56 a.m., Grand Marais: Fender-bender at the stoplight.
1:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Hit-and-run reported in the Aspen
Inn parking lot.
3:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputies asked to patrol the east side
of the school because a vehicle has been back there a couple
nights and ripped up the field.
5:10 p.m., Schroeder: An injured deer that wandered into a yard
was shot, and the caller wanted someone to come pick it up.
Friday, Oct. 26
12:22 a.m., Schroeder: Residential burglar alarm.
3:11 a.m., Grand Portage: Domestic altercation.
7:31 a.m., Grand Marais: Loose horses near the LEC.
11:25 a.m., Schroeder: Report of a small tanker heading east on
the highway, leaking fuel all over the road.
10:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Underage drinking and party
reported.
Saturday, Oct. 27
12:49 a.m., Grand Portage: A deputy was requested to deal with
a belligerent man who was thrown out of the bar.
6:06 a.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported.
2:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Barking dog complaint.
6:15 p.m., Tofte: Caller said she is in the process of moving, and
when she returned home all of the food and good cooking pans
were gone out of the apartment.
Sunday, Oct. 28
6:08 a.m., Grand Marais: Alarm going off at Great Expectations
School.
11:10 a.m., Lutsen: Stolen trail camera reported.
7:54 p.m., Grand Portage: Trespassing reported.
11:33 p.m., Tofte: Deer struck near Bluefin and was still alive on
the roadway.
