5:12 p.m., Grand Portage: A woman was
stopped by Customs with 7 grams of
marijuana and a pipe.
8:14 p.m., Grand Portage: Quebec
woman arrested by Customs for fifthdegree possession of cocaine and a small
amount of marijuana.
Tuesday, Oct. 16
6:23 a.m., Grand Marais: A good-size
road kill was reported on the highway
near County Road 13.
12:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Structure fire
reported on East Highway 61. A 9-yearold boy was unable to get outside.
1:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of an
Obama yard sign reported on Pike Lake
Road.
2:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a
runaway husky on Pincushion.
4:02 p.m., Grand Marais: An injured
dog was reported just west of Sawtooth
Ridges.
4:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Ambulance
and First Responders were called to
the Honeymoon Bluff Trail to assist a
woman with a knee injury.
7:45 p.m., Grand Portage: Deer struck
by a vehicle.
10:35 p.m., Tofte: Deputy assistance
was requested to remove an unwanted
person.

9:32 a.m., Grand Marais: Identity theft
reported.
1:12 p.m., Hovland: Report of a missing
woman who was out hiking.
9:20 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic
altercation (verbal) reported at the
C-store.
Thursday, Oct. 18
10:40 a.m., Grand Marais: Lost purse
reported.
12:07 p.m., Schroeder: Reported theft of
a game camera valued at $120.
1:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft
of a package that was left at the mailbox.
3:21 p.m., Grand Marais: A birch tree
was down across County Road 60,
partially blocking it.
6:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a
couple cases of beer were missing from
his home.
11:43 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint
about a loud party, screaming and
yelling, and people out on ATVs on the
road.
Friday, Oct. 19
11:56 a.m., Hovland: Illegal dumping
(three bags of garbage) reported.
2:20 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said
someone tried to run him over.
2:23 p.m., Grand Portage: Suspicious
person reported.

10:21 p.m., Grand Marais: A bullet
(Rimfire 17 mm hollow point) was
found on the sidewalk near the school.
11:16 a.m., Grand Marais: Boundary
dispute.
11:47 a.m., Hovland: Report of a
possibly lost dog running loose on the
highway near Arrowhead Trail.
11:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Someone
spray-painted KKK on several Obama
signs on County Roads 7 and 48.
7:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by
a vehicle.
8:06 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm from
Bluefin.
9:54 p.m., Grand Marais: A disabled
vehicle was left in the alley behind
Sivertson’s until morning.
Sunday, Oct. 21
9:13 a.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft
of four political yard signs.
12:02 p.m., Grand Marais: Gunshots
heard on Cascade Beach Road.
12:58 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint
about two 10-year-old boys who were
hanging around outside the caller’s
house, carrying toy gun-type things. The
boys also walked up to the house and
tried the door knob. It was unknown
who the boys are.
2:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Two political
yard signs reported stolen.
