Monday, April 2
9:25 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint
of a neighbor’s horses pooping in
her yard and making hoof prints
all over.
1:42 p.m., Grand Marais:
Speeding citation issued.
4:11 p.m., Grand Marais:
Reckless driving complaint.
Tuesday, April 3
3:35 p.m., Grand Marais:
Loose dog running near the post
office was held for a deputy so it could be put in the pound.
9:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Lift station alarm was going off.
Wednesday, April 4
8:27 a.m., Grand Marais: Burning grass reported in the Devil
Track area.
8:45 a.m., Grand Marais: Lost dog reported in the area of 7th
Avenue West.
1:05 p.m., Croftville: Report of a reckless driver in a shiny
black sports car.
2:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Residential burglar alarm.
2:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested regarding a
student incident at the high school.
4:34 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a logging truck traveling
recklessly and blowing its horn through town.
4:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Snowmobiler reported that he lost
his backpack while on a trip up the shore in March. Nothing
matching the description has been turned in.
5:12 p.m., Tofte: Burglar alarm was believed to be false.
Thursday, April 5
6:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Fire alarm at the hospital was
believed to have been set off by a bad sensor.
9:20 a.m., Grand Marais: Report that someone dropped off
garbage in the school Dumpster and took off.
9:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Speeding citation issued.
10:28 p.m., Tofte: A motorist stopped in to Bluefin to report
that a moose had been struck by a vehicle on County Road 1
in Lake County. State Patrol was notified.
Friday, April 6
12:53 a.m., Grand Portage: Unattended fire on Townsite Road.
8:27 a.m., Grand Marais: The security alarm was accidentally
set off at the Trading Post.
1:18 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of threats made in
the Planning & Zoning Office at the courthouse were
investigated.
1:55 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about loud pipes on a red
pickup truck.
4:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller had a white goose with a
red face sitting on his compost pile on West Fifth Street, and
wanted to know if anyone was missing it yet. There were no
calls on it.
8:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a domestic altercation.
11:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Woman came into the Law
Enforcement Center and wanted to know what deputy was at
her house and why.
Saturday, April 7

6:37 a.m., Grand Portage: Citation issued at the border for
possession of a small amount of marijuana in a motor vehicle.
1:55 p.m., Grand Marais: Someone used bolt cutters to get
around a gate at the entrance to private property on Pine
Mountain Road.
5:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that a silver van was parked
in the middle of Creechville Road, and a group of Hispaniclooking men was outside of it urinating on the road. The van
then pulled into a driveway, turned around and drove away.
The caller was unable to read the license plate, but could
identify it as out of state.
Sunday, April 8

7:29 p.m., Hovland: Report of a suicidal woman who has
possibly taken a bottle of pills.
10:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Phone issues reported at the
hospital. They were not able to receive incoming calls.
10:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Domestic situation investigated.
