Monday, March 19
9:23 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he lost his wallet. The
last place it was seen was at Cub Foods in Duluth.
9:43 a.m., Lutsen: Vandalism to a vehicle parked at
Caribou Highlands.
10:08 a.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported.
The caller said he heard people talking and the sounds of
cutting down trees around midnight. Then today he heard
the sounds of shots coming from the same area.
2:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Bad check investigation.
4:20 p.m., Tofte: A one-vehicle crash occurred near the
Sawbill Trail. The car was in the trees and an elderly
woman crawled out. She had a broken left arm.
8:31 p.m., Grand Marais: A large group of people was
having a bonfire on the Meridian Road.
8:00 p.m., Lutsen: Boat on a trailer on Highway 61 on fire.
Tuesday, March 20
10:49 a.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a
man with a head injury.
4:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Hit-and-run in the high school
parking lot.
9:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a white car with
unreadable plates near the Pumphouse.
Wednesday, March 21
1:18 a.m., Tofte: Fire alarm at Bluefin was determined to
be false.
11:46 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said someone was prank
calling her and wanted to know what to do. She was
advised to call the phone company if it continues.
2:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a person on the verge
of Alzheimer’s from Grand Rapids coming into town.
7:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller asked if a deputy could
check on the welfare of a dog which has been outside on a
short chain for a few days.
Thursday, March 22
7:45 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said she let her two dogs
out this morning and only one came back.
2:42 p.m., Grand Marais: Verbal and physical altercation
(yelling and pushing) reported.
Friday, March 23
8:16 a.m., Grand Marais: Missing/runaway juvenile
investigation.
12:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of lortabs reported.
5:35 p.m., Grand Marais: A squad car struck a deer near
County Road 55.
9:58 p.m. Grand Marais: Large burn pile on fire seen near
mile marker 105.
Saturday, March 24
9:57 a.m., Schroeder: Two-vehicle accident near
Temperance State Park. No injuries reported.
5:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported at a
vacant property on Pike Lake Road. The caller said a rope
that was placed across the driveway was cut up, and he
replaced it, and then the next day the new rope was cut
up into small (6-inch) pieces and left lying on the ground.
Nothing else appeared to be disturbed.
11:58 p.m., Grand Portage: Deputy called to the casino
regarding a rowdy man who pushed another man off a
barstool.
Sunday, March 25
12:44 a.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported.
1:07 a.m., Grand Marais: Four males ran from a vehicle at
Harbor Light when they saw a deputy. One was issued a
citation for allowing an open bottle.
3:07 a.m., Grand Portage: Suicide threatened.
12:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller requested that a deputy
pick up two stray dogs.
