Monday, Feb. 6
7:52 a.m., Grand Marais: A
911 misdial was received
from a lady in either Illinois
or Indiana, trying to call her
sister who might be going to
jail in Indiana. She started
telling stories, said she’s had a
concussion for six years, asked
if we had a certain male party
in jail some years back, used
to be her fiancé before he stole
her motor home. Long story
short if we find any info on
him, she asked for a call back,
wants to try and remember
why this phone number was in
her phone book.
3:49 p.m., Lutsen: Five people
were cited for theft of services
at the ski hill.
5:01 p.m., Grand Marais:
Caller reported possible drug
activity at a housing unit.
7:52 p.m., Grand Marais:
Caller wanted an intoxicated
man removed from her home.
Tuesday, Feb. 7
12:58 a.m., Grand Portage:
Citation issued for driving
after suspension.
8:12 a.m., Grand Marais:
Caller said the speed zone sign
near the school isn’t working.
1:19 p.m., Grand Portage:
A person was stopped at
the border with .6 grams of
marijuana and papers.
5:51 p.m., Grand Marais:
Speeding citation issued.
10:28 p.m., Grand Marais:
Caller said some type of alarm
was keeping him awake.
Wednesday, Feb. 8
7:34 a.m., Grand Marais:
Caller said a strange vehicle
has been parked at First
Avenue West and the highway
for a few days.
8:03 a.m., Grand Marais: The
school reported a student who
was smoking on campus.
8:47 a.m., Grand Marais:
Caller from Thunder Bay said
she got home and noticed a
dent on her new vehicle that
she believes happened a week
ago when she was in Grand
Marais. She did notice an older
gentleman was standing on the
sidewalk and looking at her a
little too long.
12:55 p.m., Grand Marais:
Caller said she heard that her
son and a female took off from
school.
2:45 p.m., Grand Portage:
Border Patrol stopped a
motorist with .7 grams of
marijuana.
4:08 p.m., Grand Portage:
School bus stop arm violation.
4:24 p.m., Hovland: Caller
asked for a deputy to check
for footprints around his van,
something about some unique
twins that may be hiding out at
his place.
Thursday, Feb. 9
4:18 a.m., Schroeder: An
unoccupied vehicle was found
partially in the driving lane. A
tow truck was called.
8:42 a.m., Grand Marais:
Caller said her neighbor lost
some rolled-up cash in a
rubber band after she left IGA
on Feb. 3.
10:38 a.m., Grand Marais:
Caller wanted information
about a man who was in jail
and had called her at least 22
times.
11:01 a.m., Grand Marais:
Caller said he has it on video
that a man went to put his
dollar bill on the wall on the
back of the bar at Hungry Jack
Lodge, and as he did he took a
$50 bill off the wall. All of it is
on tape.
12:00 p.m., Grand Marais:
Illegal trash dumping
investigation.
12:36 a.m., Grand Portage:
Trespassing and possible theft
reported.
4:25 p.m., Grand Marais:
Report of missing keys and a
purse from an apartment at
Harbor View.
9:46 p.m., Grand Marais:
Report of a drunk driver.
11:51 p.m., Grand Marais:
Citation issued for possession
of a small amount of marijuana
and drug paraphernalia.
