Monday, Nov. 28
10:13 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported that
a TV has been dumped on County Road 60
near Kimball Creek.
8:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Thunder Bay woman
cited for speeding.
Tuesday, Nov. 29
8:06 a.m., Grand Marais: Grand Marais
woman, 42, cited for speeding.
10:31 a.m., Grand Portage: A deputy was
requested to determine if a snowmobile that
has been sitting at Ryden’s Store for about two
months is stolen.
5:15 p.m., Grand Portage: A commercial fire
alarm on Store Road was determined to be
false. The fire department and ambulance were
paged out.
6:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported that
someone dumped one white bag of trash in
the Sawtooth Ridges Dumpster. It was a female
driving a brown two-tone older Suburban.
10:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Grand Marais
woman, 32, arrested for DUI and would be
housed in Lake County Jail until court the
following day.

Wednesday, Nov. 30
6:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lost
checkbook somewhere in Grand Marais.
Thursday, Dec. 1
11:30 a.m., Grand Marais: The state requested
a check on a non-compliant sex offender.
There was a problem with the address he
provided on the last verification form, and
the place he listed as an employer never
heard of him. A deputy checked the listed
residence and found no one home. After
several attempts, an investigation into failure
to register was opened.
1:12 p.m., Grand Portage: Thunder Bay
man, 57, cited for possession of 8 grams of
marijuana after being stopped at the border.
Friday, Dec. 2
1:03 a.m., Grand Portage: Deputy assistance
requested at the casino concerning a no
contact order that a man said he had against a
woman who allegedly physically bumped into
him at the casino.
7:12 a.m., Grand Portage: Deputy called to
Bay Estates due to a caller saying a resident
was ranting and raving and trying to bust into
an apartment. The man was also seen outside
pounding on a vehicle.
2:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Burning garbage
complaint.

Saturday, Dec. 3
12:58 a.m., Lutsen: Deputies called twice to
quiet down loud guests at the Sea Villas.
10:40 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said her truck
was keyed last night at Birch Terrace.
1:38 p.m., Grand Portage: An intoxicated man
was seen driving a silver Impala up Margaret’s
Road.
3:51 p.m., Grand Portage: Grand Portage
man, 62, was arrested for domestic assault and
booked into jail.
8:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Investigation of a sex
offender failure to register.
11:00 p.m., Grand Portage: Welfare check
requested on a woman who took off with one
of the kids following an argument with her
husband.
Sunday, Dec. 4
1:45 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he can
hear a truck dinking around by the MnDOT
garage. It sounds like it might have gotten
stuck.
11:18 a.m., Lutsen: Wisconsin woman, 21,
cited for speeding.
2:40 p.m., Grand Portage: State Patrol notified
after a pick-up truck rolled into the ditch
in front of Ryden’s gas station. It appeared
nobody was injured, but the truck was upside
down and the occupants were outside taking
pictures of it.
