Monday, Nov. 14
9:02 a.m., Grand Marais: A deputy spoke with the owner of a vehicle that had been parked at the Leo Lake access for two days. The owner was staying at a cabin and using canoe access. 9:20 a.m., Grand Marais: A customer went into a business and started yelling at an employee when told he had to take care of business through the Silver Bay office. 11:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Report that a passenger in a pick-up shot a grouse in a yard on County Road 60. 12:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Criminal sexual conduct investigation. 2:54 p.m., Tofte: Rescue units were called, then cancelled, after a motorist went into the ditch near the Minnesota Power entrance. The driver said she was okay. 5:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on Petra Lane due to a lightning strike. There was also an outage on Pike Lake Road after a transformer blew. 7:10 p.m., Grand Marais: A traffic stop at the Rec Park resulted in a citation for possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Tuesday, Nov. 15
12:41 p.m., Hovland: A tow truck backed over a man in a driveway. The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance. 12:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Duluth man, 38, cited for seat belt violation. 4:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Public Health requested deputy assistance to remove three children from a home. The mother was given a parental rights form. 5:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said her 10-year-old daughter was upset by a harassing phone call.
Wednesday, Nov. 16
7:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Contractors requested deputy assistance with traffic safety in order to deliver a 12-by-30- foot building and a large crane to a site on the Trail. 9:34 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about an aqua pick-up with no plates that has been parked on West First Street for a week. 4:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said she was returning home when she saw some boys who had been in her yard carrying a 12-pack of beer and a black pipe, and when she went inside saw footprints in her living room. She only knew one of the boys, who headed toward Holiday. 11:15 p.m., Lutsen: St. Paul woman, 27, was arrested and held for DWI and speeding after being stopped at Clearview General Store.
Thursday, Nov. 17
7:22 a.m., Grand Portage: Deputy called to pick up some counterfeit bills from the casino. 5:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported a large moving book in the westbound lane of the highway near Wedgewood Motel.
Friday, Nov. 18
6:29 a.m., Grand Portage: The casino reported that a man was there who was beat up pretty bad and refusing medical treatment. He was arrested on a St. Louis County warrant and taken to the Lake County jail. 8:50 a.m., Grand Portage: A woman rolled her vehicle off the highway and into the ditch. No injuries reported. 10:15 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch at Devil Track Road and Wesley Loop. No injuries reported. 2:06 p.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle was towed because it was impeding snow plowing on the Old Northwoods Road. 4:49 p.m., Colvill: A vehicle went into the woods on the upper side of the highway east of Paradise Beach. People were walking around, and there appeared to be no injuries. 9:01 p.m., Lutsen: A woman requested an ambulance for her son who was acting strange. He later took off in his car, saying he had to leave because people were after him. It is believed he had been drinking. Saturday, Nov. 19
1:09 p.m., Colvill: Thunder Bay man, 51, cited for speeding. 5:58 p.m., Grand Marais: St. Paul man, 66, cited for speeding. 11:34 p.m., Grand Portage: Deputy called to the casino lounge to remove an intoxicated man who wouldn’t leave and wasn’t supposed to be there. Sunday, Nov. 20
11:00 a.m., Grand Marais: Burnsville man, 62, cited for speeding. 1:29 p.m., Lutsen: Caller said guests trashed a cabin they were staying in, and then went into three other vacant cabins and trashed them. They also started items on fire and threw dishes out onto the shoreline. 1:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Illinois man, 36, cited for speeding.
