Monday, June 20

8:05 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested to pick up a wandering dog on West Second Street. 8:40 a.m., Lutsen: A pager was found in Grandview Park. 10:36 a.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle went off the Gunflint Trail near Washington Pines, injuring an occupant. The patient was taken by ambulance to the hospital, and a tow truck was called. 9:57 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said he was concerned about the welfare of his children, who were with his ex-girlfriend at a house where there were intoxicated adults.

Tuesday, June 21

1:52 a.m., Colvill: Seven minors were cited for underage consumption of alcohol after a beach party was discovered near mile marker 121. There were about 20-25 people present, but some scattered into the woods. 2:57 a.m., Grand Portage: Grand Portage man, 32, arrested for domestic assault and booked into jail. 12:09 p.m., Hovland: Report of a large pine tree across the southbound lane of the highway at mile marker 127. MnDOT was notified. 1:51 p.m., Grand Marais: St. John’s Catholic Church reported that one of their money boxes for the candles was broken into, and an unknown amount of money stolen. 2:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Downed trees reported on the Gunflint Trail, near the Lima Grade. 7:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver reported that his van hit the low corner of the overhang of the Congregational Church, causing damage to both the vehicle and the building.

Wednesday, June 22

1:05 a.m., Grand Portage: A man was arrested for trespassing at the lodge. 10:04 p.m., Tofte: A vehicle struck the propane tank at Bluefin. Another vehicle later crashed into the check-in building. It was determined the same driver, an intoxicated employee, had wrecked both vehicles. A St. Paul man, 20, was arrested for minor drinking and driving, and taken to detox.

Thursday, June 23

8:00 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a suspicious vehicle parked near the tower on Cougar Trail. The owner, who lives on Cougar Trail, was contacted. 3:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a pit bull running down Highway 61, headed north toward mile marker 114. 5:40 p.m., Grand Marais: A domestic argument at the Pike Lake landing resulted in the arrest of a man for domestic assault.

Friday, June 24

12:05 a.m., Grand Portage: Deputy assistance requested to remove an unwanted person from the premises. 12:37 a.m., Grand Portage: Report of a suicidal female turned out to be unfounded. 12:43 a.m., Croftville: Duluth man, 42, arrested for terroristic threats and pointing a weapon with reckless disregard. 9:31 a.m., Tofte: A cooler containing pop, food and a camera was reported stolen from a vehicle parked at Bluefin. A second vehicle break-in was discovered a short time later. 3:11 p.m., Schroeder: Lamb’s Resort reported that somebody carved up one of their cabins.

Saturday, June 25

2:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Grand Marais man, 33, cited for expired driver’s license. 1:57 p.m., Grand Marais: Extra patrols were requested at the Rec Park campground due to an ongoing rash of cooler thefts. 2:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Loud music complaint. 2:29 p.m., Grand Marais: A purse was found downtown, and the owner contacted. 5:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle fire on the Grade, just east of Lichen Lake. 7:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a loud group at the campground.

Sunday, June 26

12:16 a.m., Lutsen: Deputies called to Papa Charlie’s because several uncooperative people were refusing to leave. 12:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Two boys, ages 9 and 5, were found along the side of the highway, where their father left them. He said he stopped to get something out of the truck and the boys got out without him noticing, and he drove off to go home. A deputy took the boys home. 1:48 p.m., Grand Marais: It was reported that two men were at the skate park, shooting kids with a soft air pellet gun. 2:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Illegal dumping reported at the Flour Lake campground.
