Cook County resident (and sheriff) Pat Eliasen won a brand new Weber gas grill in the Cook County Home Center (CCHC) May Grill Giveaway on Saturday, June 1. Landon Sheils, the youngest son of CCHC co-owner Nate Sheils, drew his name from hundreds of entrants on Saturday morning.
“We started this giveaway contest to thank our customers as we enter the busy season of construction and repair,” said Jeff Buetow, co-owner of CCHC. “Each purchase of $50 or more earned an entry into the contest.”
“We appreciate every customer,” said Nate Sheils, “and this drawing is but one way we show it.”
After some good-natured banter between the storeowners and the contest winner, Eliasen was heard to say, “I never win anything.”
CCHC is a full-service lumberyard and Ace Hardware store located just a mile east of the stoplight in Grand Marais. They are open Monday thru Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
