Cook County Higher Education (CCHE) is offering a basic bookkeeping class Feb. 6 and 7 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The class will expose you to the fundamentals of bookkeeping: single and double entry accounting, setting up a chart of accounts, types of accounts, accrual versus cash accounting and reading basic financial statements.
The course is designed for anyone wanting to know the basics about bookkeeping and will be taught by Karen Blackburn, director of CCHE. She has over 20 years of bookkeeping experience and lots of experience explaining bookkeeping to people with no experience. This could be your opportunity to finally understand debit and credit.
Cost to join is $60 but funding should not be a barrier. If interested, contact or call (218) 387-3413 for information.
