At the September Cook County DFL Central Committee meeting, the central committee members residing within Grand Marais unanimously issued a Letter of Support for Michael Garry. Garry has lived in Grand Marais for 10 years and has been active in Grand Marais city government serving on the Planning and Zoning Commission for five years. He also volunteers for the DFL by providing steady leadership on the local unit’s executive committee and as an alternate to the State DFL Central Committee.
We see Garry as a fighter for unity in the community and as someone who will work for you regardless of your job or connections. We believe that he understands that you are essential to our community and your contribution is full of dignity. When on the city council, he will make jobs, housing and equality his priorities. His positive attitude, his energy and his ability to get the work of governing done are some of the reasons that the Cook County DFL provided this Letter of Support. We believe he will work for all the citizens of Grand Marais. We’re proud to provide this support.
