Representative Rob Ecklund (O3A) and Grant Hauschild will appear at the Cook County DFL convention on April 23.
Grant is a Hermantown City Councilor running for Congress against incumbent Representative Pete Stauber, another Hermantown native.
Rob, International Falls, is the Committee Chair for Labor, Industry, Veterans & Military Affairs Finance and Policy Ways and Means. He was first elected state representative in 2015. Both will lay out their case to be elected (or re-elected) and will be available to answer questions.
The convention will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23 at the Community Center, 317 W. 5th Street, Grand Marais.
Masks and COVID protocols are required for attendees.
You don’t need to be a delegate to attend, any DFLer can come as a nonvoter.
All of the board positions are up for election. Needed especially are a treasurer, vice chair, and directors. Anyone who lives in Cook County and identifies as a Democrat can run for any board position. If you are interested in running, email Kevin LeVoir at chair.ccdfl@gemail.com.
