According to the C.D.C., Cook County is receiving about two new cases of Covid-19 infections a day, and unvaccinated people, say the agency, are at high risk for getting Covid-19 infections.
The C.D.C. recommends that in Cook County, vaccinated people wear masks and notes that since last January, at least one in twenty-one people who live here have been infected with Covid-19.
As of November 8, 2021, the total number of reported cases in Cook County since the pandemic began is 272.
No deaths have been reported in the county that is attributed to Covid-19.
To date, 4,093 residents are fully vaccinated.
Statewide, since January of last year, one in seven Minnesotans have been infected, and at least one in 630 have died. Minnesota’s number of new cases for November 8 was 2,753, about the same as the number the day before.
Sixty-one percent of the state have been fully vaccinated, 72 percent are 12 and up, and 93 percent 65 and up.
