Cook County Council on Aging and Sawtooth Mountain Clinic awarded Otto Bremer Trust grants



The Otto Bremer Trust recently announced grant winners and two non-profits were from Cook County.

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic was awarded $40,000 to provide and expand dental care and education to low-income children, young adults, expectant mothers, and seniors.

Cook County Council on Aging, Inc received $25,000 for general operations to provide meals and programs to Cook County’s elderly and individuals living with disabilities.

All told, the Otto Bremer Trust awarded $11,090,773 in grants and program-related investments as part of its most recent grantmaking cycle.

“The grant recipients are making a positive impact in their communities, and we are impressed with the good work they do,” said Daniel C. Reardon, co-CEO and trustee, OBT.

Of those dollars, more than $1.9 million was given to organizations in central and northern Minnesota and the Red River Valley.
