The Cook County High and Middle School Band, along with the 6th grade Band will be performing their final concert of the year on Wednesday, May 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Gym.
Recently the High School Band won three superior ratings at the State Regional Music Contest in Virginia, MN. The Middle School Band had an outstanding performance at the non-competitive Middle School Band festival in Two Harbors.
TheBands have had an extremely successful year and would like to express appreciation to students, parents, community and staff of CCHS. Everyone is invited to come here our award-winning bands. The High School Band, directed by William Tormondsen, will perform the works that won honors at the Heritage Festival in Chicago, Fall River Overture by Robert Sheldon and Nesson Dorma by Pucchini-Beringer.
A reception honoring Beginning Band Director John Redshaw, who is retiring at the end of this school year, will be held in the cafeteria following the concert.
Tickets will be $2 adults; $1 students; with no fee for senior citizens.
