Chase Gwash won first place in the 7-9 year old age group. Chase caught the esteemed judges’ attention by striping the bear. His picture was deemed most creative of the dozen or so entries in the contest. Congratulations, Chase!
Caleb Phillips, age 10, said he likes to color and he was happy he entered the Cook County News- Herald’s coloring contest. His efforts earned him first place and the booty to go with it. Keep coloring, Caleb!
Carissa Bickford, age 4, worked “for days and days” on her bear picture for the Cook County News-Herald coloring contest. Here she is showing off her pumpkin filled with her winning prizes for the 4-6 year old age group. The judges all commented on Carissa’s wonderful picture and her even more glorious smile.
