Volunteers fed 150 folks in Cook County this Thanksgiving, said Dr. Jennifer (Jenny) Delfs, one of the many volunteers working on Thanksgiving. Over thirty meals were delivered while the rest were picked up. Because of the flu, COVID-19, and the RSV virus making the rounds, there wasn’t a sit-down meal at the church. Some volunteers arrived at the Congregational Church at 5 a.m. to begin preparations for the meal, Delfs said.
