Community still working to save mural

I’d like to thank the Whole Foods Co-op Board of Directors for working with the community to save the mural. At its annual board meeting on Tuesday, the board confirmed its pledge of $10,000 to help offset removal costs and provided the opportunity to take down the mural before demolition.

Albeit the window of time is small for the removal, it will happen and the mural will be removed to accommodate the new co-op building.

Thanks again to the board for enabling and encouraging the safe removal of the mural while it waits for a new home.

Lastly, approximately only $16,000 remains to cover the mural removal cost. Please direct your donations to Ann Mershon at amershon@boreal.org.
