Community kindness greatly appreciated

Early in April, many, many, members of Ann and Gary Jorgenson’s family were in Grand Marais to attend the funeral of Ann and Gary’s precious son Joshua.

Since we have all returned to our homes and visited about that weekend, one common thought keeps coming up. Every one of us had such a positive experience.

The outpouring of kindness and love shown to our families was amazing. Everywhere we went we saw the coming together of your great community. Some of us had called your chamber and hotels, all we had to do was mention Joshua’s name and were given discounts for our weekend stay.

We were blown away by the meals Jill and her team put out at the community center where we gathered. When we returned to the hotels we found another spread of food and snacks put out by Beth from Beth’s Fudge.

Thank you to musicians and pastor who gave the most beautiful tribute, ever, to our nephew and cousin. And thank you to the Catholic church as well for an incredible luncheon.

You should all be very proud of your beautiful, friendly and giving community for showing others how it should be done. Josh was very blessed to have known you all. Thanks again for everything.
