Birds of the North Woods will be presented by Molly Hoffman next month.

This class, for beginners to experienced birders, will focus on bird identification using bird song as well as visual sighting. This is a three-day class. Friday will be classroom time with a short presentation on bird song followed by discussion on binoculars, field guides, other birding aids, and the habitats we will visit on the Saturday and Sunday field trips. Each participant will need a pair of binoculars.

The beginning dates for the sessions are Friday, June 8, 15 and 22. Friday classroom sessions will be held at the 4H log building at 7 p.m.; the field trips are set for the following Saturday from 7 to 11 a.m.

There is a $15 fee per session. For more information contact Community Education at (218) 387-2000.
