Vaya con dios, Pastor Peter
We are saying farewell to our intrepid leader, Peter Monkres,
as he heads off into the sunset of retirement, bicycling and
grandchildren. All community members are warmly invited to a
meal in his honor on Sunday, May 29, around noon, in the lower
level of First Congregational/UCC Church, 2nd and 3rd.

Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and the Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services offer their
Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center on the third
Tuesday of each month, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. First come,
first served. The cost is $10 for either location. Bring your own
soap, towel, and bucket to soak your feet. West End Outreach
Blood Pressure Screening will be available when Birch Grove
Clinic is open for patient care. Please call Sawtooth Mountain
Clinic for scheduled hours: 387-2330.

Girl Scout Court of Awards
Join Girl Scouts on May 26th as they celebrate the
achievements each scout has earned this year. Program starts
5:30 at Arrowhead Center for the Arts. Girls k-12 and adults
interested in working with girls are welcome to join scouting
anytime. Contact Arvis Thompson 387-2487 nights. Visit our
booth on the upcoming trip to Savannah.

Minnesota Mystery writer Brian Freeman reading from his

Small Footprint Living Fair
Join us for the Small Footprint Living Fair – ‘Supporting
Sustainable Living’ Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25.
20 classes are offered in the areas of green building, animal
husbandry, local food growing, climate change and energy

Trinity Lutheran Church Home Improvement Sale
Remodeling, tools, yard, sporting items. May 28th 8 a.m. to 1
p.m. Hovland Town Hall. Donation of items can be brought to
the town hall May 26th and May 27th 5-8 p.m. If items don’t
sell – owner must retrieve them following the sale.
