Preserving Food Safely
Exploring the Options is a workshop taught by Suzanne
Driessen, U of M Food Safety Extension Educator, on
Tues., April 19 from 5:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the Grand Portage
Community Center and on Wed., April 20 from 8:30 a.m. –
noon at the Cook County Community Center in Grand Marais.
Cost is $10 and includes a home food preservation book.

Beekeeping with Rev. Mark Ditmanson
The Rev. Mark Ditmanson will speak on Beekeeping at the
Garden Club meeting on Monday, April 11, at 10:00 a.m. at
the Senior Center. Visitors and new members are welcome. If
you enjoy gardening, please join us.
No Such Thing As A Bad Kid
A free all-day workshop on the value of using a positive,
strength-based approach with at-risk children & youth.
This includes a free lunch and CEUs for teachers and other
youth workers, however, anyone welcome to attend. Call

A free 2-hour workshop focusing on strength-based training
and the power of positive thinking for youth and the people
who work with them. CEUs for teachers and youth workers,
