Grand Marais Garden Club Meeting Notice

The Grand Marais Garden Club will meet at the Senior Center in Grand Marais at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 12 for a business meeting. After stopping for lunch, we will be visiting several gardens at Grand Portage; the heirloom, children, and community gardens. All are welcome. Cook County Ruby’s Pantry

Ruby’s Pantry is a food distribution program held 5 – 6:30 p.m., every second Tuesday: September 13, October 11. Parking at Sawtooth Elementary. $20 (cash only) per share. Buy more shares as you want. No financial qualifications. Bring a laundry basket and cooler to bring home frozen items. Sponsored by Spirit of the Wilderness Church. Volunteers always needed. $20 gift certificates have been donated to help those short on cash—just ask cashier. Donations always welcome!

Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services offer their Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9 to 11 a.m. First come, first served. The cost is $10. Bring your own soap, towel, and bucket to soak your feet.

Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services will be offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings on October 4 Clearview General Store in Lutsen from 9 a.m. -10 a.m. and at the Senior Center from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Blood pressures are free and blood sugars cost $3.
