U of M Master Gardeners and David & Lise Abazs are presenting Beginning and Intensive Vegetable Growing workshops on Saturday, April 30 in the lower level of the Congregational Church in Grand Marais from 9 – noon. Afternoon sessions will include: Growing potatoes, Growing micro-greens, Growing veggies in rain gutters, Starting seeds and a Garden tour. Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services offer their Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9 to 11 a.m. First come, first served. The cost is $10. Bring your own soap, towel, and bucket to soak your feet.
Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services will be offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings on May 3, 1030-11:30 a.m. Cook County Community YMCA and at the Senior Center from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Blood pressures are free and blood sugars cost $3.
