Cook County Ruby’s Pantry

Cook County Ruby’s Pantry is a surplus food distribution program. 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. Every second Tuesday of the month. (April 12, May 10, June 14, July 12, August 16, September 13). Please use elementary school for parking. $20 cash only per share – buy more shares as you want, no financial qualifications. Bring a laundry basket and a cooler to bring home frozen items. Two lines for less waiting. Volunteers always needed! Sponsored by Spirit of the Wilderness Church. We have gift certificates if you want to donate or if you are in need and don’t have the cash for your share – contact the cashier at our food distribution!

Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services offer their Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9 to 11 a.m. First come, first served. The cost is $10. Bring your own soap, towel, and bucket to soak your feet.

Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services will be offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings on May 3, 1030-11:30 a.m. Cook County Community YMCA and at the Senior Center from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Blood pressures are free and blood sugars cost $3.
