Grand Marais Playhouse auditions for Shakespeare’s As You Like It

September 29 at 7 p.m. in the Arrowhead Center for the Arts. Auditions open to high school to adult. Many roles available. Cook County Ruby’s Pantry

Cook County Ruby’s Pantry is a surplus food distribution program. New time 5:00-6:30 p.m. Every second Tuesday of the month. (Oct. 13, Nov. 10, Dec. 8). Elementary school parking. $20 cash only per share – buy more shares as you want, no financial qualifications. Bring a laundry basket and a cooler to bring home frozen items. Two lines for less waiting. Volunteers needed and can get shares too. Contact lbspaulding@boreal.org to volunteer or with questions. Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services offer their Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9 to 11 a.m. First come, first served. The cost is $10. Bring your own soap, towel, and bucket to soak your feet.

Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services will be offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings on October 6, Clearview Store, Lutsen from 9:00-10:00 a.m. and at the Senior Center from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Blood pressures are free and blood sugars cost $3.
